Well I'v done both the parum missions a couple times now and each time we'v got a C rank. We have no clue how to get a S or anything. I always see 2 gates at the beginning but we only go through 1. Do we go through both? Is there a time limit? Help me out!

It's going to be just like offline and bruce probably, just do it faster.

looks like Moatoob is kill as many as you can before time runs out. Vandas suck with high speed rotating firebreaths of death.

Haven't cracked Parum yet.. I think you'll need 1 or 2 folks to hold off the critters while the rest purify and then move on to the next.

Parum Missions have a very strict time limit. You really need to split your party up in order to get an S. Special note: You don't have to kill everything, your goal is to wipe out all the cores. There will be some missions where if faced with a mob, you can just run past them and they'll all die.

Neudaiz missions are the easiest, that's why it gets purified first. Just clear it and kill everything.

The one Moatoob mission, no matter which path you choose, you need to exceed 130 kills for S.

Are the vandas, in the firebreak mission, normally shielded? Those are the somewhat more annoying ones.

Maybe I should take in consideration how often they show up, and then MayaLee Prism them down for a good party bashing, without the constant blowing of firey breath. They're not Trogdor. They got the beafy arms, but they don't have the wingalings or the consumate Vs.

I think it's important to note that upon finishing a mission it states
"Participation has been recorded." I think that's recording the fact that you did the mission. So people who don't do any probably won't get anything special if we reach the target.

No, it's recording your points to the website to add to the total.

In order to S the first Parum mission, you need to beat it in under 2.5min. It's possible btw, my party did it a couple hours ago.

Solo? Good luck. Party of 2? That's really pushing it. 3? There might be a good chance. 4? Shouldn't be too hard. This is for ALL difficulties.

Why I say this: The lower the difficulty you do it on, the less time you get. The higher the difficulty, the more dangerous it gets. What makes C nigh impossible to solo for S is the pools of lava from the core. You have to waste time purifying them to get through. Sure you could just run through and take the damage, but more often than not, it will kill you if you try to run through it.

Meanwhile, at higher levels, you run into some high powered Vandas. Armor or not, they can foil the strongest players fairly quickly. In the case of solo, if you die, you automatically fail.

I was playing the first Parum mission with some friends, it was really laggy and we couldn't get under 3mins. We joked that it would probably be faster with no clothes on (less for the game to draw=less lag).

Turns out we cut 30s off our time by playing with swimsuits on http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

All subsequent timed missions were played with swimsuits lol

It also records it so when you talk to bruce you can show him the results and he gives you an item.

The second parum run is easy money. We were able to do it in 6:42, and it gives about 15k and a PA frag. Looks like Parum is the place to make cash.

Alright, last night me and a friend tried our hand at Sea of Fire C and B to see how well we could do.

I'm 76; he was 43. We managed to S-rank C but not B (we only got a B-rank in that). Even S-ranking C was a chore, it took us a few runs before we figured out the trick.

If you plan on doing B or A you'll likely need a lot of people, and it's going to take coordination.

EDIT: Hold on--I'm going to post this stuff to the S-rank Firebreak thread in the Guides section. Here you go! (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=143175&forum=22&start=0&95#10)

I've been teaching ppl how to get S ranks on the parum missions. You might have seen Archemedes shout out "Parum Classes!" I'll do it again tomorrow, if ur interested please come to parum east to check if I'm there. I might also be in mission showing ppl already. My teachings have given out lots of happy pl with s ranks so if u need help ask me, I can help u with every area.
