View Full Version : Is Parum destined to be doomed?

Xenogamerx
May 28, 2007, 03:31 PM
It's been 4 days and Parum is at only 294,708 out of 40 million points needed to purify the planet. This planet has twice the points needed to purify than the other two planets. At this rate we are going, I don't see how Parum will survive.

Once it gets the second batch of missions with level 100+ enemies it'll be completed in a few days. Right now Moatoob is the one with no hope

ChyronType0
May 28, 2007, 03:33 PM
It'll survive once Neudaiz is complete and they add the Parum mission with the 28.5k payout.

It will be fine o.o I think

Treillerti

Yes. . it's going to be doomed because you posted another "Parum's in trouble" topic. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Their's a ton of these on all pages. . and it's been proven Parum's in fact, not in danger of having problems. In 2 weeks, new missions come out with new rares for Parum to be grinded through firebreak and will easily get the points. Neudaiz & Maotoob are just getting out of the way for the moment.

28.5K? That's a whole freaking lot. Does anyone know how many mission points (like it matters) it gives you, or how long it usually takes? If it's as long as most s2 missions, it'll be a killer way to make money...

SirDeimos
May 28, 2007, 03:44 PM
The reason were not making that much progress is because people are still at crimson beast and labs. If we could all work togather we could get it done but at this rate i think only neu will be purified. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif Leave labs and crimson and help people!(and mad beasts)

Treillerti
May 28, 2007, 03:48 PM
Actually I believe it's because lots of rooms are locked. Out of like 20 rooms, only 3-4 were open usually. It's annoying when you want to join a party.

Kent
May 28, 2007, 03:54 PM
...So what do these forthcoming missions on Parum pay out on lower difficulties?

'Cause I'm guessing that 28.5k isn't for C-rank...

Well, they shouldnt be that bad, and when i looked there wasnt many people in Crimson or Labs.. On PS2/PC servers anyways.

I'm estimating Neudaiz will be finished in another 4 days?

Then it's Moatoob. You gotta think that Moatoob has gotten what it has from people that aren't doing the hardcore "let's purify this mess" runs. Mainly from people liking the xp. I think once Neu is done it'll be a week to a week and a half before Moatoob is done and then it's all Parum from there. Which will get done AMAZINGLY fast once there are rarz.

Just as it all began on Parum, it shall all end on Parum as well.

Dj_SkyEpic

Don't worry about Parum now. Once Neudais is done, everyone would definitely need to jump to Moatoob before they
release the new missions.

Parum will be consumed by the seed, and then cast will dissapear eventully.

Jk.

Question:
When we get the 100% on neudaiz the fire missions will dissapear?

Even C rank is good. 7mp for 2 mins solo if you're level 5 or higher, and even less if you're running it for friends on a higher level char.

If everyone does this and has the same frame of mine, then Neudaiz will slow down and not get finished. We should all tackle Neudaiz now and get it out of the way. Then, we all move to Moatoob and then we go rape Parums local wildlife.

I've been keeping up with how far along we've come in regards to Operation Firebreak and my only real question is this: Why is Parum so far behind?! How have we managed to not even grab 1% towards completion? Am I missing something that we need to be doing to grab more purification points on Parum that makes the missions near impossible? I don't think it's lack of participation on Parum I mean I see hoards of people in Parum East at all hours of the day...more than I see anywhere else. I just don't see why we're having such a hard time gathering points here...

DurakkenX
May 29, 2007, 01:18 AM
would you read the forums... is it hard to look down the page? You join the forum just to post the same thing as so many others? wtf...Perhaps the people aren't doing Parum because they can't figure out how to do it because they all those who are concerned about it can't seem to locate all the other topics concerning it nor the search button and both need intelligence to do...that's OBVIOUSLY the reason.

I gladly take my warning now...

Parum is a Time attack mission and when most people do it on A they only get a score of C therefore little to no purification points?
Nuedaz is the easiest to score since theres no time limit or goals other than purifying the flowers.
Moatoob is Max Attack style and is still easy to acheive A reward.

Too bad that the search button along with trolling through a few pages these brought about nothing in my search for a thread about this topic. I've both visited and run many forums before joining here, I understand the frustrations of seeing a rehashed topic, but if you want to keep the community fresh and people with in it having fun, you need to understand these things happen. Simply pointing to a thread about the topic in question is much nicer way to handle such problems.

zarbolord? u on ps2/pc and are online atm? if so ill do some runs with u. i too try to show ppl how to s rank the missions. but most ppl are do single minded to listen and understand that the event is about teamwork and not just KILL KILL KILL, unless of course ur on moatoob. but i mean yesterday i thought it would helpful to teach some low lvl players what needs to be done on parum, and all they could do was freak out that i was stealing all the exp. i tried to explain that most of the enemies didnt need to be killed. they didnt understand.

CelestialBlade

Parum will be just fine when the new missions come out. I'm currently soloing on Moatoob to try to help its total, which will definitely be hurting when the new Parum missions come along....

l_Will_l
May 29, 2007, 02:10 AM
oh i know parum is fine. im not saying that. i just feel like doing some "universe tours" on A rank to gather some pa frags. i might as well do some firebreak missions while gathering them rather then just going to spam a free mission. least i am helping out a bit if not more on one specific planet

Chiba-kun
May 29, 2007, 04:08 AM
This event aint really well suited for the low level people, for a newb the main thing they are concerned about is money and leveling (cant hate them for that, its natural), but some of these missions require some team work and skill, something that low levels cant really bring to the table. SO its best to just let them go level on their own while the ones who are able handle the whole purification process.

EDIT: Oh and i would just like to say i agree with the first responce to some extent, he did get a bit out of hand but its also worth pointing out that you cant just give people a blank pass to spam boards with questions that if they seriously just went back a page or two they would easily find atleast a topic or two concerning it.

Everything will be OK when the lv100 missions come out on that planet. You will have ever lvl70+ and thier granddaddys grinding the shit out of Parum so bad it will AMASS 40 mil points in 48 HOURS.

Guys, guys, don't you see? All these people worried about Parum's fate have clearly played Phantasy Star 2 and have seen the "Big Oopisie."

Nobody wants to see that happen again. Except maybe the pyromaniacs.

Seriously though, I've split my efforts between Parum and Moatoob ... Usually Parum, because Moatoob parties are hard to come by, compared to Parum where I've managed to get in on Ori's group--he's almost always looking for Guardians to roll with him.

I'm hoping Deja's meet turns that around.

What order did the Japanese purify the planets for the first 2 weeks?

I'm betting it was Parum last for them as well due to the rewards no?

Anways, I'm wondering if we'd have started with Parum would the contamination have gotten worse on a different planet opening new missions on THOSE planets instead of Parum?

Hmm. Something to pointlessly think about http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif.

The only reason behind Neudaiz' fast purification is probably because, as someone said around these forums (dont remember who), the missions there are a free license to print money. As long as you kill and purify everything, it doesnt matter how many times you die or how long it takes you, you'll get S.

-Ryuki-
May 31, 2007, 04:35 AM
It's not just Neudaiz. You can die in any of the FireBreak missions. As long as you meet the requirement
for whatever mission you're doing, you'll still get S even if you died 20 times.

No way moatoob is gonna be purified in a week. Once people realize that there's already 20 million points, they're just gonna slack off (already happening, I think) until the Parum 100s come out and spam those, then the rest of the points needed to get the frying pan will come from those.

Except what makes Neudiaz different is the lack of a time limit. For those others, death more or less indirectly affects rank. During the times when one dies, all that time is lost not killing or purifying.
