What if you could grind armor?

Hmmmm.... hypethetically speaking lets say gi-senbas have about 101dfp 126eva and 74mst... if you grind it it would need to increase all 3 stats so its kind of not going to happen cuz those stats could go to 112dfp 135eva and 84mst which is quite alot in all places...

well I was thinking more along adding one of the slots that isn't on the armor, so if you have arm, body, extra, you could add head. But having multiple of one could be intersting, but no more than 2, and only one SUV at a time.

No, they work differently. If you grind weapons, they become better because of the percent. A 10 ATP boost becomes 15 with a 50% weapon, then increases even more depending on the PA you use.

Armor just basically stays the same. A 10 DFP boost stays the same even if you have 50%.

Taking 1-2 points less damage =/= risk of breaking a 50% 9* armor.

Yea, but grinding is pretty pointless unless you plan on taking it all the way. Or at least to +7 where you get some decent boosts.

Yes it is. At +1, that is 4-5 more damage per hit for a total of like 10 hits in a decent PA (that's around 50 damage on average). And there's PP, as it goes up damage total gets higher as well.

But whatever, I wouldn't grind my high percents neither because I don't have 10-20 of them lying around.

Did you play PSO? In PSO there were armors, and you can add Slots to them, up to 4, and put units in each of the slots. Units are not grinding, Add slot, would be.

no im sorry jackel, i never "played" pso before. I LIVED IT FOR 7 YEARS!!!
But seriously, (super nerd mode on) I had considered your add slot theory before I posted, and decided that although it seems similar to grinding as you are using a 1 time use item on the armor, it is not. Adding a slot merely adds an empty slot. Does it increase DEF, ATA, ATP, or any stat? No. It merely adds an empty slot. Now adding a unit on the other hand, that can increase your stats, much like a grind would. When I originally posted i was in a rush and gave the smart guy/sarcastic quick answer..

But... if you wanna get super nit picky, which, based on your comment it seems that you do. when you go to the proper manufacturing counter in order to grind a weapon. Do they not use the word "Upgrade"? In fact, they always use the word "upgrade". So along those lines, if I add a Tero / Legs to my Yamata Senba increasing my Evasion, wouldn't that be considered more of an "upgrade"?
And before you can say, "wouldn't adding a slot also be considered an upgrade?" let me say in advance that this is not PSO and as far as I know that item isn't available as of yet. (super nerd mode off) So maybe in the future, I hope we can have this debate again..???
