So I've failed 21 9* synth attempts in a row on a pure PM

Ridiculous. 7 boards and not a single weapon. This kind of stuff should not be possible. I kept telling myself my luck will change but I'm officially DONE. All that meseta for boards, all that ebon, all those metals, and all that vulcaline for nothing.

I will never synth another weapon in this game again. From now on I'm selling my materials and buying the stuff I want. It seems as if I'm no longer allowed to make weapons in this game.

I seem to get alot of mats i need so it isnt really costly for me. I synthed 2 armors as seen in another topic and i only had to buy the boards and 10 vulcaline.

Maybe it is your connection. Sometimes if you turn off the game without quitting, everything you were synthing at the time fails (or so I've heard, rumor alert). Or maybe you lag while taking out the weapons. Hell I don't know, but 21 times in a row is QUITE far from possible.

Losing connection while synthing makes all current projects automatically fail.

Some sort of fail safe to keep you from just pulling the plug when you fail a synth.

On a side note, grinding has a different system. You can pull the plug on a grind but it wont matter, whether or not you fail is actually decided the second you choose which grinder to use, not when you select "yes". The glowing progress bar is just a formality.

The thing about disconnecting only applies to when you are at the screen where you remove the item from the PM, as far as I know.

If u failed 21, you're certainly due. Just don't give up. Just do a small batch each night. I once failed 8 out of 10 howrods 3 nights in a row! Lost a lot of money and learned a few things. Primarily, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I've been failing a variety of 9* gunner weapons from Deathmakers, to Phantoms, to Cugo Mambas. These are all on a pure ranged PM.

I'm pretty sure I'm just going to call it quits. Even if I make another weapon I will never be able to recover. In order for that to happen I'd need to make 21 weapons in a row just to break even and reach the 49/50% that is advertised.

Someone asked a question about S rank weapons...after this...I'm just going to sell the board if I ever find one (which isn't bloodly likely since I've never found a good item in this game since it came out and I've put in over 1,000 hours into it).

With all the money I spent making these weapons (1,155,000 for the boards, over 1 million in Vulcaline that I could have easily sold for 945K, plus the ebon which I could have sold for another 700k, and the metals, and the photons, I could have just bought a crap load of weapons.

I will never synth another item in this game again unless its guaranteed.

Needless to say the percentages are completely out of whack. You can't expect the real world results to follow the percentage exactly, but there should be a mild correlation. So far I haven't seen anything like that. That being said, synthing is a gamble. Take it or leave it. Unfortunately, if you want certain weapons, synthing is really your only option.

Just thought I'd add to the general synthing misery:

Purchased 2 Jitseen boards. These silly little 7*s come with a 67% chance of success. Sadly in past attempts I went 2 for 9, but hey, my lucks gotta change, right?

I went 2 for 6 - and got a 12% and an 18%...
120K+ mats, down the drain.

I got one yamata out of 21 on my 70% armor pm....and i considered that already highly unlikely...(35% success)

Like you said, its damn near impossible. The odds are astronomically small. I emailed Sega about it. I'm curious to see what they say.

Someone mentioned how disconnecting causes automatic failure....I'm wondering if when I log off something isn't happening the way it should at it is causing all of these failures.

Actually its a 0.0000000127% chance (.51 to the 27th power). That equates to approximately 1 in 78 million...and yet here I am.
