The PC/PS2 population is still looking very pathetic. i know everyone has good friends and everything right now but we all need to step it up and spread the word of PSU!!! i dont want to play AoI with this 2* uni thing... ): I want to have as many people playing this game as possible.

There are like 8 million WOW players and that game sucks so if we could just pull together we can make this work!!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Spread the word that hacking has come to a hault http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Unfortunately, the hacking spree has permanently turned off most of my friends. They have very negative opinions of Sonic Team now, and refuse to give PSU much thought.

Only one or two are still interested in PSU and they're coming back only when AoI hits the shores.

I'm not trying to get anyone to play anything. I know how annoying that gets because my friends bug me constantly to play Battle Field 2142 and UT2k4 more now that my PC doesn't suck. Seriously, I wish friends would stop meddling.

And WoW has excellent customer service, updates around the clock, game balancing that takes place every so often to reflect popular grinding spots/HNMLS camps, everytime someone gets a new ability, etc, etc. Also, the hackers in WoW are quiet about it. Probably because Blizzard will sue their asses and fire employees and such for it. Y'know, that's why.

Nothing since I've been burnt out on the game since the end of the semester at my university (First week of may). The grinding A rank weapons brought me back to the game for a lil while, but it'll die out soon. I'm a pvp addict and other mmos are starting to come out that have my attention.

Most of the people I know of stopped playing because they got bored of the game and there was nothing else to do. The hacking had nothing to do with it for them. Once they hit 80 or whatever the level cap was, it was game over for them as after a couple weeks, they went on to other games. Other people had rl stuff. The other bit like I said, just stopped playing and moved on to other games. These people tend to come back once level cap is raised and after they acquire that, they won't play until next level cap. Other than that, others have accomplished what they wanted with the game and just flat out quit. I did that for FFXI like 2-3 years ago.

I know what some nubs are about to say. You got bored because you leveled to 80 too fast and expected more out of the game. Been playing this game since October and I've enjoyed every bit of it. I've been at max level in a short amount of time and still played the game heavily. Leveling is a joke in this game compared to pso and other games as I played casually throughout my whole college semester and got max level without much problems. Once we reached level 100 cap, sega should just do a level 200 cap and make the exp needed to level huge like pso lol.

I can and always will have something to do. For example, one more character to level and I'll have 3 level 80 chars. Endless unit/weapon hunting (because I rarely trade, I rather get them myself). PA/technic leveling. Just some of the many examples. May 2007 was just my time to go finally lol. Don't see no hope for ps2/pc population until expansion and even then, I don't think it'll do much. I think if I can get my best online friend to play the game again, I would play it a lot more since I got all the time in the world until Aug 31st.

My roomates become interested in the game just by watching me play >_>

I'm not doing much right now, but I figure I'll start bugging my friends again once AoI hits http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Encouraging people to hang out with me on 360 and just talk about any ol' thing while having some fun! That's really the way it should be.

Alright, I cleaned this thread up again for the second time. Everyone who participated in the spamfest should get a verbal warning. Anymore spamming outside FKL will earn a day to a week suspension. Let's not derail this topic again, yeah?

Does everyone really feel that AoI will bring back players? i just think that it will be more from word of mouth. Firebreak has been great fun and the hacking has left the building. I hope that uni2 will have more that 3* in AoI http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'm against tell people what to play. Play what you want, not what your friends want.

If you can, you should always play what your friends play. Games are WAY more fun when you are playing with friends. (especially real life friends). I have so much fun playing Super Smash Bros. Melee with the gang and going to tournies. feel sorry for anyone that plays a game solo (unless it is Zelda, Mario or FF http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)

The best one can do is to show their friends what the game is like and whatnot. I've shown several of my buddies and coworkers (that I get along with) PSU and they seem to either be considering it or have bought the game.

I'm not about coaxing more people to play though. If they wanna play, they can play. Everyone has their vices. One of my buddies plays FF11 another plays WoW. I guess it's all in the type of game people like.

I'm not sure, myself, if AoI will KEEP people though. I know it'll bring back some people. Old old names that used to float around way back during Launch and all, but they'll leave again just as fast as they came back. That's the trend, people play, test the waters, some leave, some stay.

Sure, playing it at their houseyour house is fine, but for something where you have to pay, best not to listen to your friends. It could end up losing you a lot of money if you don't like it. If your friend likes it and you've tried it and liked it then sure go for it, but other wise, waste of time and money.

Well, they could love the game to death, but might need your push to get them playing it. I wouldn't have tried PSO had a friend of mine not came and told me about it. PSO and PSU are now among my favourite games.

Seriously, I'd really push for people to try out the PSU demo. It was a very smart move for them to put out a PSU demo with so little limitations! The only thing I wish they would have done was allow the characters to be transferred. I'm thinking that kinda took it out of some people.

Try out the 360 demo!

I'm not doing anything to help spread the word. If Sega wants me to advertise their game, then they can pay me. Otherwise, if asked, I'm going to give my honest opinion - and that doesn't exactly inspire people to buy the game.

I really dont have many friends who are in a position to play psu. Most of them either dont play video games, or arent patient enough for a game like psu. So yeah, i kinda poke it towards a few friends but i dont paint "I PITY THE FOOL WHO DONT PLAY PSU." on my shirt or demand everyone play it.

Well, lets just say that I've had bad experiences with buying games that my friends told me to get. A prime example, is Guild Wars. I thought it looked ok but then my friend got it and started telling me about how great it was, etc. In the end they convinced me to get, over PSU to. I played it for about 4 days and then realized it was a huge waste of money. It just wasn't my style of game, and I would have known that to if i looked a little deeper into it. But instead i listened to my friends and got it.

Same for me, i hadn't even heard of PSO till i was at my friends house and we played offline multi-player. fell in love with it right away, now PSO is in my top 10 games of all time. I played it for about a year at my friends house before i bought it myself, so i could be sure that i liked it enough to buy it.

What I'm basically saying is that you need to be sure you want a game before you buy it, not just buy it because your friend says its great.

What am I doing to help the population problem? Nothing because it's not my job. XD Sure, I care about PSU because I play it all the time, but I'm not going to force anyone to play it that doesn't want to... I might tell someone about it and tell them my honest opinion about the gameplay, but I'm not doing anything beyond that.
