Operation Ice Contamination?

Having Operation Firebreak, do you think we will get another event later down the road that deals with the SEED Infection Ice Missions?

There are already missions like these offline and there is another item like the Photon Eraser but it's handled differently. (Requiring a heat source)

It is completely possible. Given the popularity of Firebreak, I don't see why they wouldn't add these missions.

There is accualy somthing like the aura feild from PSO IIRC so they could do an Icebreak and give that away

I would love to play some sort of "Operation: Ice Contamination" would be awesome IMO.

Kind of like experiencing the icey planet Dezoris from the classic Phantasy Star Series.

I wouldn't doubt that Sega will eventually come out with something like this. Maybe they'll even run it at the same time as they do in Japan, but that's just my mind wishing.

Seeing as fire breakwas launched at the start of summer, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a winter event for ice. Even if it's not a break, i'd bet that theres at least going to be ice related drops.

Sorry to say, but I didn't SS it. I pulled it off of the JP image uploader a few months back (along with several others). I saw Unis' post and thought I might confirm whether or not this particular image was what Golto had posted about.

Theres no reason NOT to do a ice contamination event. The other elements are a little iffy, but there is an item similar to the "Photon Eraser" in offline mode that is specifically created for dealing with Ice type SEED Zoma. Also, there are reskins for areas that have been infected by ice (Grove of fanatics for instance), so from a programming aspect, it would take little effort and was probably planned from the start.

As for the "when" of this Ice contamination event, Id say probably not until next year. 2 events similar to each other in the same year doesnt seem very likely to me.

That's kinda lame... I guess the aura's are just recolored versions of each other. :/

A good ice unit would be something like leaving ice trails on the ground while moving, kinda like barta.

I'd very very much want to hunt for/do whatever required to obtain the "Dark Wing" extra unit that's like the Whithill Wing but purple and black etheric wings.
The extra unit tis buried in the game code but is unreleased online so far.

I especially need it for RP'ng and Fan-Fic purposes.

Yeah no extra units with gfx effects will be out for us until we get the XXXX CUP in 3 months or so (rappy mode if the effect even shows up in ps2). The only new extra units we will be getting after the Fire Break event are a few A rank suvs in npc shops.

As for my thoughts ON the actual topic; I think that there will definitely be an Ice-themed event sometime after the release of AotI. Most likely, it will take a bit less teamwork than FireBreak since all Zoma's are visible. It's a simple matter of finding the "heatspots" and blasting away at the lil buggers. To compromise, I would assume that a higher enemy count would be present. However, there's also the chance that they'll add in those large Zoma's that made their debut in the 2nd half of Neudaiz and Parum's FireBreak missions. After all, these are missions types which require teamwork to complete.
