I'm not a supremacist or anything, but I've always felt comfortable as a CAST. I've never really explored what the other three races are like to be honest--well, I have, sorta. I have a Beast off-main but he hasn't yet reached that point where Beasts come into their own.

Oddly enough, my answer would have changed if you didn't add in "in PSU" in your post.

Humans are the same in all games, no matter where they are, so they're known as the resilient race that can only live under the other races, yet just won't die out.
Newmen are very unique and exotic, and are portrayed well as half-demons (biomonsters, rather). Due to seemingly lack of interest, though, they've simply been rehashed into nothing more than space elves in PSU, losing alot of respect.
Beasts don't seem any different than Newmen to me. They were supposed to be an incarnation of PS's Motavians, but other steriotypes seemed to of grabbed on to them before we got to see them.
Casts have also been heavily stereotyped, but they didn't have much of a basis to begin with. They simply went from mindless dolls to cocky asses.


My favorite has to be the casts in this game, if only because of what you can do with them. While other races are stuck with impractical clothing, casts get decorative armors. The females even get a wide variety of outfits, from maids to tanks, ninjas to knights. While you can do alot of things with other races features, making the perfect design considering your guidelines, androids are even so free as to create fish without even meaning to.
Beyond the cosmetics, they're also the least annoying stereotypes. You have your carefree humans, your strict elves, your defiant beasts, and your competent yet vain robots.

I'll change my mind once newmen are again portrayed as the strong, gentle, half demons they're supposed to be, and once fleshies get cloaks.

Beasts for me.

Enslaved for god only knows how many generations, mining the resources of the planet with the harshest environment in the Gurhal system, and they finally reached independence.

They're natural fighters, natural survivors. All other races are gutless compared, in my opinion.

Humans are just that, humans, too basic and typical.

Newmans have the whole "holier than thou" feeling around them with the communion of gurhal and whatnot.

Castshave a bad terminator feeling around it. Bad as in they seem to have the same line of thought about being much better than all flesh lifeforms, but they lack all the stuff that made terminators flawless, remorseless killing machines. They're humans in tin cans with a superiority complex.

PLEASE dont take my post as flame//flamebait, thats just my opinion on the races. No offense intended at all against any player at all.

Honestly? Taking a step back and looking at PSU's whole setup, I kind of like the twist. It's a changeup from The Terminator-style science fiction, where mankind's sentient synthetic creations become genocidal, "destroy/enslave all humans" and that rot. I would just vote humans mainly because I am one. But aside from that, Humans can be any class that they want to be as long as they put their mind to it. Edit: My love of Newmans (well, Female ones, I can't stand males...XD) comes straight from PSO. HUnewearl fit my playstyle perfectly, and I ended up getting one to Lv16X, and one to 200. I guess after playing a Beast in PSU (which I did like), I wanted to go back to the pointy-eared roots, so I'm leveling a Newman now. I'm starting to hate CASTs. I used to think they were cool cause they could be all big and robot-like, but ST's been doing nothing but encouraging them to have a fricking Pinocchio Complex. They look too much like people (which is okay if they're actually COOL-LOOKING like those Wren knockoffs (which happen to be obviously robots) but most just suck), animate too much like people when fighting, running, or standing (especially with twin guns equipped), and of course they think they're the best and rebel against their masters just like real people. And those casts that wanna be NOT humanlike (you know, to actually BACK UP their claims of superiority) are shit outta luck because they're stuck with the animations that are completely identical to those of the meatbags. Those animations look like shit on robots. And don't even get me started on the caseals...

Beasts...well, real cats and dogs are way cuter and fluffier.

I'm starting to hate CASTs. I used to think they were cool cause they could be all big and robot-like, but ST's been doing nothing but encouraging them to have a fricking Pinocchio Complex. They look too much like people (which is okay if they're actually COOL-LOOKING like those Wren knockoffs (which happen to be obviously robots) but most just suck), animate too much like people when fighting, running, or standing (especially with twin guns equipped), and of course they think they're the best and rebel against their masters just like real people. Jife you are so right about Cast the same animations as everyone. Why does everyone get the same animations, period? It's pretty dissapointing, this goes for attacks too. It's pure laziness on Sega's part. Sadly these animations actually fit Da ANA very well, which is scary if you think about it. X_X
