Nanoblast, Nanoboring ?

Just wonderin if anyone feels the same way that at some point Nanoblast becomes totally useless even though SUV's can still have some use from Casts. . So what's the point if using Nanoblast if you're doing more damage with your weapons X.x

That's why I went with the Invincibility nanoblast at higher levels.

Oh, I'm probably dealing somewhat less damage than I am with my PAs, but I'm completely untouchable while it's going down - handy for Kajigabara, any megid-spitters, Bil De Vears, buffed Vandas... means I can be dealing damage without being flinched or interrupted in mid combo, which means that my DPS as a melee'er IS going up.

Yeah. I understand how much damage the power nano can do at higher levels (like, 800 a hit at level 80/10 fortefighter for a male? 700? close to that) but how much good does it do when you go down after ten seconds of nanoblasting?

Me, as a 70/10 Protranser female beast, I can hit for about 350-400. That's plenty adequate, and because of the invincibility I'll DEFINITELY have the full 35 seconds of poundage; meantime my fortetecher friends don't have to worry about keeping me alive and I don't have to worry about using mates.

something must be wrong with your nano cause i can do WAY more damage in nano then normal, like 2K on crt hit.

This is true. . But it is also a fact you can die within the first 2 seconds of another Nanoblast and end up wasted anyways. LOL

You have to take into account that nanoblast normal attacks are fairly quick, and the secondary (stomp punch) thing, actually staggers most enemies, so you can use that to knock alot of enemies back (for example, a jarba, or a kaghjibari) and keep them from attacking.

Nanoblast badges are situational for me. If I'm soloing in, say, Sleeping Warriors S, I'll go with the power or defense badge, since the mobs there don't hit hard. If I'm duoing with my BF, a Fortetecher, I go power since he'll back me up with Resta. If I'm soloing something like Rainbow Beast S2, I go with Invincibility since Olgohmon Barta can hit HARD. In parties for places like Mad Beasts or Crimson Beast, I go invincible as well since I don't know if the techer there (if there even is one) will toss a Resta if I'm hit.

at this point, I find most of my friends are techers, so power is the best. If you're in any group with someone who can heal, power is definitely going to end up being the most useful.

I'm a female beast at LV 75 (FF: 10), and my Adakka Val does way more damage than I can normally do. It does like 1,500 damage per blow... The only problem is that I'm open to attacks from enemies, and you can be killed by two or three hits in S2.

Second that. It's not that I hate nanos or SUVs or anything, it's just that it doesn't really hinder my tagging/killing of a monster as long as I get a hit in.

Plus i'm 80 anyways, so SUVs and blasts are always welcome. But aside from that, nanoblasts are always fun no matter how you look at them, young lvl 19 beasts that can't wait to hit level 20 to get their blast, then they finally do and have "blast" with it(ouch...a pun.)

A friend of mine didn't really like beasts, but as soon as he made his alt a beast and got it to 20, it's been his new main(for now anyways).

Nano is extremely useful, and anyone who thinks otherwise either hasn't been the class, or hasn't seen it used well. In a group with fortetechers that can heal, or a group where someone is smart enough to have star atomizers on their quick bar(I do! sol atomizers too!) it can be a great asset. Keep the Nano dude alive, and he'll be outdamaging anyone by a long shot. I honestly can't see how you can think 1.5k a hit in a quick combo of what.... 5 hits.... isn't useful. I mean an axe can do 1k a hit but has a slower combo with less hits.

idk, just seems the DPS from the Nano far outdoes anything else in the game.

Not so sure when beasts are using 50% spears though..
