Obscure; n.
of little or no prominence, note, fame, or distinction: an obscure French artist.

t.A.T.u. is a fairly popular singing group.

well first off, i was using obscure as an adjective.
ANd by obscure, i meant strange and/or different.
And when i say obscure, i mean for my usual taste.

Sure I have.

Pronunciation: äb-'skyur, &b-
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French oscur, obscur, from Latin obscurus
1 a : DARK, DIM b : shrouded in or hidden by darkness c : not clearly seen or easily distinguished : FAINT <obscure markings>
2 : not readily understood or clearly expressed; also : MYSTERIOUS
3 : relatively unknown: as a : REMOTE, SECLUDED <an obscure village> b : not prominent or famous <an obscure poet>
4 : constituting the unstressed vowel & or having unstressed & as its value

It still means unknown or mysterious.

Of Montreal is pretty indie. Of Montreal makes me want to sip cosmo's, dip my feet in a pool, and slip on some expensive shades (I have not and probably will never do this).

Franz Ferdinand and The Killers make me want to sell out. They are not indie. Fun. Yes. Indie? No.

In Highschool, I used to think that Audioslave was hardcore rock stuff. Oh no. Oh hell no. Your musical tastes are a little spread out, but you're no Hrigg. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Hum. Maybe they're highschool indie? The Killers were really popular 2-3 years ago at my University ( I didn't like them that much because I couldn't get away from their music ).

Let's see... the killers are called indie... oh wait but their signed to a subsidiary of Universal? Uh... yeah... not so much.

Then again it all depends on how you define indie...

Down with indie, up with Hindi.
