Swimsuits, Why ?

I know clothing in the end doesn't make a difference but lately I've seen more people in swimsuits than anything or without clothes period (trust me your character's not that attractive). Just wondering why the obsession. .

The only logical explanation I can think of is that the swimsuit only takes up one spot in your inventory, as opposed to the 3 taken up by a shirt/pant/shoe combo. Or maybe people just like the swimsuits.

When people are grabbing items at random your inventory can fill quickly. Every spot counts.

I always wear a swim suit because I refuse to pay high prices for cloths...they do nothing and when I wear the swimsuit it saves some inventory space and I don't look completely stupid.

The only problem i have with swimsuits is the amount of CASTs that wear them. Exspecially blue male CASTs with messd up heads. I simply don't undrstand the appeal.

Every other race looks pretty hot, but i think clothing combinations look alot better.

Alright, lets look at this from both points.

On the one hand, you have the "pervs" who play female newmans wearing the most revealing attire available to them. Now, heres a very simply fact, the human mind can easily recognize representations of the human figure. So that obviously means on some level your recognizing 2 circles placed next to eachother as breasts. With that in mind its not hard to imagine a person finding a 3-dimensional avatar created in the likeness of a female figure as attractive.

And then youve got the "normal" folks, who swear thats not the case. That anyone that finds 20 polygons pushed together in the form of a pair of jubblies attractive is sick in the head. These people tend to admonish anyone with another preference.


Both sides need to get over themselves. Ever heard of the fur-fag scenario? The reason noone likes furries isnt NECESSARILY because they draw anthropomorphic creatures having sex (not all do, doesnt mean I like em, im a strict hater of anthropomorphic art anyways.) Its because so many of them feel that they need to be so damn open about it.

I dont care that you get off to fantasy stuff. In fact, as long as whatever your doing doesnt violate basic moral code, and the law, more power to ya'. But that doesnt mean that I need to know about it. In fact, I DONT want to know about it. Ever.


Now simply having your female avatar wear a swimsuit isnt all that wierd if you ask me. Its not hurtin me, and alll it means is theres more flesh colored polygons on my screen. Nothing more, nothing less. So when/if someone goes ape-shit on you for doing that, just ignore them. They probably feel downright pathetic about themselves and are simply looking for someone to pick on.

Actually the current swimsuit series isn't very attractive to me. I still have one so I can look normal at the hot springs and oasis. Sure, I think my Newman girl is pretty hot actually, but... it's not like I'm going ga-ga or something over her.

Its a change aside from wearing any other type of clothing or parts. I really don't see the big deal with others' preference of what they want to wear. As long as the person playing the character is not being a jack*** while half naked, it shouldn't pose a problem at all.
