View Full Version : How much evasion do you need for being emune to physical att

I'm talking about ultimate mode of course. One day there was a glitch in my game, it was weird: I was playing with my FOmar ult ruins and in the last room I was completely surrounded and ended up dying. Good for me I had a scape doll but when I revived I noticed I was always blocking enemies attacks. I saw my stats and somewhat my evasion raised to 1008! Then I tried to figure out what was I equipping but it wasn't about that at all... when I unequipped my shield/frame and put it on again my evasion returned to normal.

Based on this experience I could say that any character with 1000 evasion offline would be emune to physical attacks in EP1, but I was wondering for multiplayer if anyone has any idea of how much would I need. Thanks!

Did you die to a massive enemys' damage all dealt at once?

I guess so Fujita... why you ask?

Cause if you are attacked by multiple enemies when they are attacking together at the same time, you get the combined damage of them (i.e. 4 Arlans attack at once = 4x the damage).

1000 EVP is nothing. Heck, even 2000 EVP (if possible) would still not be enough. From people's experiences, the only way to actually increasing the chances of "blocking" the attack is to Deband and Jellen.

Humm... I don't know if you got me right. I said my evasion went up after I revived with a scape doll and the number was 1008. That was when I noticed I was blocking Arlans and Merlans attacks like all the time...

Then it was just a glitch, in which it won't likely to occur again unless you can repeat what you did.

And you also said "based on your experience", in which it isn't fact. Again, 1000 EVP is not the definite amount where you can block most attacks. And again, even the max amount wouldn't guarantee a "block".

I meant the experience I had with the glitch http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Yeah, you got a point there but I was really surprised of how regular I was blocking Arlans and Merlans in ruins. I'm sure I wouldn't block a Chaos Bringer though but I can get even more than 1000 evasion with good frames/shields at higher levels.

my humar has 912 evp and i can block mostly on forest, ruins is very rare to block and depends mostly on enemy ata, more ata is the same as more chances to hit, even if the damage is 0.
to actually evade any phisical attack you would need to test agains del-d of ver.2 with 400 ata, i would guess 3000 to 3200 evasion..............wich is kind of impossible to have

On BB, you can get up to 1800-something with a Hucaseal.
At around 1200 EVP and around 700DFP, nothing can hit you anymore in forest except Hildetorr and possibly Tollaws on a critical. Get either Jellen or Deband and you're invincible (Jellen is better on the Torr).
As far as I can see, with about 1400EVP and a good Deband, Bringers, Delsabers and probably Del D will still hit you. Add Jellen and the Bringer should still hit. So the glitch you experienced was probably a bug or something.

I Beleive M@gnum (guy who made PW4 movies) found a way to blcok arlans and melrans on hiw HUcasseal. But he has max stats so it might take you a while to get to a point where you can blcok them.

That M@gnum thing isn't meant as a link http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Due to the @, the board interprets it as an email address.
(Does Internet Explorer start, or your email client?)

can we use this calc but the other way around?

yeah, we can.
Basically, a Delbiter has 355 ATA so you need 1775EVP to block him completely.

how about 400 ata from a del-d ?
sorry but i don't know how to use the calc the other way around http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Del D has 415 ATA, so you need.... 2075 EVP. Which is impossible to get, just in case ppl wonder.
However, there is a good side to Del D: they are weak anyway.

DC_PLAYER

weak for you, with more then 2000 def in ver.2 and 2900 atp (offline)
2075 evp.......jesus, i don't heve even 1000 evp (i could but i wont)

DC Player, I used to play the DC version too, you know, and Del D are really weak compared to Delsabers or Hildetorr for instance (6800ATP? what were they thinking???).
What I mean is, in the end when you have Deband on and then use Jellen, the Del Ds are going to hit, but they won't do that much damage. I worry less about an ennemy that hits me for 150 HP than about an ennemy that hits for 350...

6800 atp? where did you get that info?, on pso-world the hildetorr has 4000 atp online

Saffran

I read that on a jp info page. It's one of those linked on PSOW, but which one... beats me.
I never cross-checked the info though. 4000ATP? That's not much more than Hildelt...

DC_PLAYER

well i have some trustworthy info on another site and the atp of a hildetorr is 2400 atp offline, online theres no information but acording to the info on this site it is 4000 online.
4000 atp is almost 4 times more atp then a mothvert (1100 atp), i have 600 def on my humar, so 4000 atp is alot to me.
so the hildetorr online has more atp then the delsaber offline, and if the delsaber does alot of damage then the hildetorr is even more powerfull.(the ata is basicly the same)

^ Just because this site says it has 2400 ATP, doesn't initially make it correct. Matter of fact, there are a lot of errors in the guides. Not to say that the guide is wrong, as I do not know, but it should be a cautious thing.

but the 2400 atp is on another trusworthy site, i use it alot to check for enemy stats offline
