Sooo.... RuneLateralus' sig creeps the heck outta me

I know it's the typical "this is your OS, your navigator, your ISP and your IP" sig, but his was the first one I ever saw of the kind, and seeing my data so freely on the internet made me freak out a bit. And since then I get the chills whenever I see HIS sig. Anyone else can have that sig, and I will feel nothing. But if it's him I just... brrr...

And seeing it on the "online games you're playing" thread at offtopic only helped revive that fear.

furthermore, your actual IP adress with your ISP is most likely registered for you region, usually within a city wide basis. Once they get to those servers they can then track you down via your MAC address, your single, one of a kind, physical network card address, that only exists on your computer in a specified area. In your house, ph34r.

actually, it's your routers' MACs they'll trace first, then to your PC.

It's actually my USB modem's MAC, since I dont use a router and/or network card to connect to the intarwebz. And my ISP has a VERY dynamic IP setting. VERY dynamic. Still, easily traced I guess. But that doesnt worry me.

The DHCP server (what gives you your dynamic IP) usually logs what MAC address is asigned what IP, so that's not really going to help.

Because I was still a intarwerbz nublar and it freaked me out, I was all "how the hell does it know? HOW THE HELL DOES IT KNOW? DO I have a virus? Did he hack my computer? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" so now it's more of a subconscious thingy. =S
