I discovered this while fighting Megahs Megahna, it works for sure on PS2 in Extra Mode, I'm sure it'd work online too.

If you go into first person mode with a hand gun and aim upwards, then you start strafing (DO NOT LET GO OF THE HANDGUN TOGGLE), you will continue aiming upward when you fire whilst strafing.

I only did it a couple times during the battle, but it was pretty useful to be able to shoot megahs in the core while moving.

If you let go of the hangun toggle, you'll revert to firing straight again, I haven't played around with it much yet, so I'm not sure if it works with other weapons, or if it'll revert when you stop strafing.

Hope this comes in handy. ;]

Wow, sounds great! For my clarification, does the 1st person view automatically revert to 3rd person when you strafe, or do you have to manually come out of 1st person before strafing?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if it works with going strait to straffing since the strafe button activates goggles in 1st person now.

That is true....perhaps you have to exit 1st person mode before starting your strafe?

It shouldn't make a difference that hitting L activates goggles, because pressing L again will put you back in wep targeting. If it is a problem, all you would have to do is hit L twice, and hold on the second press.

Gryph, we were speaking of pressing and holding the RB, which is the "strafe" on the 360 controller. This button also activates/deactivates your goggles when in 1st person veiw. My question was "Does one have to exit 1st person BEFORE strafing?" and I beleive the answer is "This will only work if you do not have goggles."

I tried to use it on Fakis, but I can't seem to get it to work again, I must be forgetting a step or something, maybe it was just a glitch (I hope not)...

Damn, I hope I can figure out how I did it, it was really useful against megahs.

I'll let you know if I can manage to do it again. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Ah, well you should clarify that next time, as the topic was made by a PS2 user, and there was absolutly no mention of the 360 in the topic. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Back on topic though, I believe you were just seeing the auto-target of the twin handguns in play. THG's can auto-target upwards, easily seen fighting Shagreece and Zoona's.

I was using a single handgun, and they never seem to aim up at him when I play, the bullets just go under him and I end up having to shoot him in the hand. :/
