While I'm waiting for the 360 servers to come back up in 360land I decided to pass the time by playing a game I payed good money for but never really played. That game is, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. My god, it's fun, very very very fun. BUT! I keep fucking getting killed by this big purple flying Barney the dinosaur-looking motha-sucka and his ass-bandit little comrade pteradactyl lookin' guy with a spear.

God, this game pisses me off, but it's so fudging fun!

Just blowing off some steam.

Just wait till you have to beat the castle + inverted castle as Richter, or explore 200.6% of the castle.

I have the game (found it at Gamestop used a while back). Played it a bit, but I'm no good at it. Or I just need to play it more. Either/or. I did like the very beginning where you are overpowered and trounce the boss. That was fun http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

A bit off topic, but I've thought about getting a DS Castlevania game (maybe Portrait of Ruin). Anyone here played it? And if so, did you like it?L

My wife has it. I had to play it for a while because she made me beat one of the bosses for her. It seemed OK, but the stylus thing for special moves got pretty annoying.

Rofl, you died at Solgra and Gaibon? You have one tough road ahead of you then....wait til Granfalloon, Beezlebub and Galamoth.

I've played this game so many times it'll make your head spin, and I literally memorized where to get everything. Just ask if you need help.

Okay. No offense here but.....HA! That's like....The first boss (Me thinks) simple dude, triangle is your friend. Get in, attack, when they pull back for an attack animation, slide....and if you dont have the time to slide then use fireball. Have to say, this is the first time I've seen someone having an aneurysm over the first two. I mean...Not to heckle. But they're FREAKIN SLOW!

Hit and run is your best chance here if you're having trouble, as the spear wielding one is VERY slow, he's the easiest to get rid of. The gargoyle is a little more trouble. but nothing to sweat over, his projectiles are just as slow as the other monster.....Until you piss it off...Then you're on your own.

Yeah, I beat em, both and I'm well on my way. I've gotten to this enemy with a swinging ball and chain. I pwned him, but got pwned by something afterwards. The games really fun, I'll definitely be playing it more often.

The DS Castlevania games are some of the best games available for the system and among the best platform games I have ever played. Highly recommended!

That I probably wouldn't mind, unless it's something that bothers my hand (like the circling in Pokemon Ranger).

I am thinking of at least getting Dawn of Sorrow (not sure I like the character switching thing in PoR). And even though it's on the PSP, I'm looking forward to the Dracula X Chronicles. Looks neat http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I also retried SoTN. Getting the "hit, and dodge back thing" down, so I'm slightly better at it (still didn't get very far...I either need to find my memory card, which is lost, or just play it on my emulator >_< ).
