Are you referring to the item's description? As far as we know it's a load of nonsense and has no actual effect on the game.

Actually,it kinda does...
A friend and I did an experiment...
He no frags while I had 60+....They chased my ass down so badly..XD
then I had gotten a frag as a low level character for reporting the firebreak missions....I had one while everyone I was with had none..STILL got chased down..
It has to work!!
It just has to!!

Ok.
1.Mars Volta FTW
and 2.You get them from getting S rank on an S or S2 class mission, you trade them in at the guardians headquarters(Not on Clyez, just different planets) also depending which planet you go to you get different ultimate Skill,PA's and Techs.....(I may have went on a rant there, please correct me if I'm wrong XD)

Jun 11, 2007, 02:29 AM
interesting, because i got one just for doing firebreak missions and im only lvl 17. so what do pa fragments do? what can you do with them?

Well,If you get enough, you can go trade em for ult. skills PA's and Techs..
Parum-Ult. Gun skills
Moatoob-Ult. Melee PA's
and Neudaiz-Ult. Spells(Techs....Yknow,The Nos Spells,Megiverse,and so on....)

By trading in a certain number of PA Fragments in the missions "Skill License," "Bullet License," and "TECHNIC License" (available in the Guardians branches on Moatoob, Parum, and Neudaiz respectively) you can receive special "ultimate" photon art discs. These are essentially advanced melee skill attacks, unique bullets, and powerful new TECHNICs for your character to use, and as such are only made available to players who have advanced enough to actually collect the PA Fragments necessary to trade for them.

I believe they give Striking +16 and TECHNIC +4. You're better off using them for their intended purpose, but I suppose if you've already gotten the photon arts you've desired and have a bunch just laying around...

If you already have the PAs that you want, and have an overflowing ammount of PA frags, why not just buy new ult PA disks and sell them in your shop? :3

If you have room in your common box and partner machinery, then I don't think it's smart to carry around 99 fragments because you can't obtain anymore. If you don't have room anywhere else, then it really doesn't make a difference.

Even if you do run out of space to put them all, can't you still sell them to the NPC?

yea but i think all 7* items and synthesis material sell for 250 meseta... im not positive though.

but i wanna see if having more PA frags does make the enemies folow u more http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

oh and its gonna eb a while till i get all the UPAs for all 4 of my characters! (Even though my 1st 2 have all the ones they want)

What's the point of that though? =P

99 + 99 + 99 (297) (well, maybe you can't store them in the common box... I've never tried) is all that you can have, regardless if you can sell them to the NPC or not. It wouldn't make a difference either way because the max amount of fragments you can have stays the same.

The point is: If you max PA frags on all of your alts + all of your alts PM's + your common box, you would have to run around with them in your inventory. If you max them out in your inventory, you would receive them no longer from missions. Therefore, and at that point, would it not make sense to sell them to the NPC??????? Because then you could start accruing more in your inventory and start selling them, and so on and so on....

I don't think it is insane to run around with 99 frags I am at the moment because the ultimate axe, spear and sword pa are not released. saving my frags for spear surfing.

...!!!

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say.

OK, let's say that you have a main character and 3 alts.

You have 99 PA frags in your Common box.
You have 99 PA frags in all four of your PMs.
You have 99 PA frags in your three alt's inventory.
You have 99 PA frags in your main's inventory.

In this scenario, you would not be able to obtain any more PA frags as there is no place to store them. When being rewarded them at the end of the mission, you would not receive one (or two, or three).

Would it not make sense, in this case, to SELL the PA frags that are ONLY in your main's inventory??? Regardless of how much money you would make on them, at least you would then be able to obtain more of them, and continue to sell them. This would NOT BE DONE FOR PROFIT! I'm just saying that it would be a bit more economical.

Kylie

A bit more economical? Of course, but it's not significant enough to worry about.

The actual discs you acquire for trading them in are subject to the same restrictions as PA Fragments. They can't be dropped, traded, nor put up for sale in your shop.

The PA Fragments themselves sell for 100 meseta each; I'm not sure about the discs.
