Im curious to know who the cheaters are on PSO. Just incase i go into a trading room and see a person who is a cheater, i wont trade with him or her(duped weps=Yuck XP).Well known people please, no rumors.

On the DC, it was sometimes pretty easy to tell who was a cheater or not. Here were some obvious hints:
Wierd symbols/characters in their name. For example:
|>ark $atan
*HAPPY*2*NOL*U*
<///>
+G.O.D.+
And so on and so on...
Strange behaviour. For example:
Unsociable/Anti social
Chatting with profanities
Making threats
Character level. Usually they're level 1 or 100 or 200.
In many cases in identifying a low life though, it's a crap shoot. I would just ask for their guild card. If they refuse, it's usually a bad sign. If you want to trade, go to the trading board on this site. If you get burned, at least you can publicly inform everyone not to trust that individual again.

This types of posts are pointless because people can name others that don't cheat and there's no way to stop them.

Well, with your previous post, what can on expect of your IQ? And its good name cheaters, becuase people will know to stay away from them(at least people like me who hate the little bastards). Cheaters are people who suck at games, thus they need to cheat to win/do good/get what they want.
TheWILL: It's called honesty. Good natured, friendly people who are well known, can be trusted to point out cheaters. But I wouldnt trust WWWWWWWWWWWW as much as I can understand him.

And BAM! I can make myself look like a cheater instantly, just by making a humar with that name =X
Best idea is to see what the person is like - then look at their level, then look at the items they are handing out and their %'s - and make a decision for yourself.

I cheated on the Dreamcast versions of PSO. I can guarantee you that I would've beat you, legitly, in a battle game with a reset-rule battle.

I know the will is right, but the way is wrong. It's childish to name and shame people in such a way, and it's not too accurate.

I never have and never will cheat in any game where my cheating would affect other people. I may have done it in some games (completely legitimately of course .. cheat codes, game genie), but that was just for amusement to see what they did and such. The games I've cheated on .. SimCity 2000, The Sims, Megaman X, SimAnt .. and .. that's probably it.
Now, I would never cheat on a game like PSO, because my cheating would affect every other player that I come in contact with.
I've only come across one person so far who may have been cheating .. his name was Millenium. He was talking with two other people. I don't remember the name of one of them (I think "God" was in his name, he was a HUmar I believe), but the other was a girl, a FOnewearl I think.. she had "Bi tch" in her name (written just like that). When I heard the Millenium fellow mention "Dupe", I left the game immediately.

I don't think cheating in a game of this sort is right if you're going to play online .. or even just with other people offline. I remember Sega had done some sort of check of every account for dupes .. I hope that this becomes routine, and I hope that maybe every few months (or maybe at random so dupers can't prepare for it) they do a check .. just to keep the game clean. I'm glad to say that other than the one incident above, I have yet to come across any sort of cheating.
