Only the Flash part of this site works and you can view the new character news in the news section of the Flash presentation. The forums link works too and the new character post is also posted there. I don't know if this is the real thing or not but the screen in the upper right corner does look freaky.

remember the pic of a barbarian-like character in PSO? This is the new char in Xbox PSO.

Selenna, I think that you mean these two characters that sonic team had posted before PSO ver. 1 came out and were thought to be the new characters for Ep. 1 & 2 a long time ago:

I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you looking at the pic in the upper right corner and not at the HUcaseal with the different head? I'm not that dumb.

Going by their JP names, is that Fowren (PSIV's Android) or Shiren (PSIII's Cyborg)?

Anyway, I *highly* doubt that Sonic Team would break the mold and introduce a character that didn't fit into one of the three set races.

GODS I hope not!! I hate the XBox for my own reasons and putting a 'ren type on that system would kill me... Let it be a Demi type or a Myun type or maybe a Lutz type (Hey magic is back!? It died back in #4...)

If it is a 'ren type it better be on a GC incarnation... It pissed me off that all the chikdroids looks like cheap sex-maid bots and all the dudedroids looked all crappy and non-human...RARR!!! Stupid sexist......*rant rant*

apart from th HUnewm and the HUmarl... theres nothing new that can be added in terms of new characters... maybe a new race is the only thing ST can do in order to expand PSO further... although i'd much rather like to see a true sequel

Ummm, i don't see any new character but a HUcaseal, maybe just a different head you can choose from, hmmm. Anyways, too many droids already, whats next an android that can use magic, lmao. Please don't say it's true.

That head is on the GC version as well,i just don't think you will see to many of them.Is it just me or do those screenshots look a lot cleaner and sharper then the Gamecube version?

GCN picture quality and X-Box are the same for PSO. If anything, they just useda High definition TV for those shots. I've seen the GCN one on a High Def once...all I could do was standand drool at how beautiful it looked.

The following classes exist now:

HUmar
HUnewearl
HUcast
HUcaseal

RAmar
RAmarl
RAcast
RAcaseal

FOmar
FOmarl
FOnewm
FOnewearl

Thereby, the following classes are possibilities:
HUmarl
HUnewm

RAnewm
RAnewearl

Also, if they decided to make up some weird crap about some kind of crazy ass droid that can use magic, the following classes could also exist:

FOcast
FOcaseal.

But anyways... yeah. The RAmarl and the RAnewearl are basically the same thing, except for the ears, because the RAmarl in Ep I&II has been made to have the highest MST of the Ranger class (HUnewearl has highest mst of hunter class, and the newmans of the Force class have the highest MST).

of course, they could go with FOpants, or FOwang just for fun.

Has anyone ever thought that if they added one character to one class it would be unbalanced?Imagine having five hunter classes and four Ranger and force classes.They should either add a new class or one new character for each class.If there is a new character,maybe it's a delsaber(it does have it's own attack combo,but it would be doomed to one weapon). http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif j/k

Even though the text is kinda small or i have shitty eyes it does say voice effects or atleast thats what i read (taken a few years of japanese)

Yeah, literally it's "Boisu efeekuto" (double e's meaning it's a drawn out sound), I believe.

Otherwise... Jeez, no solid info YET on this new character? I think the fact that it's mentioned NOWHERE on Sonic Team's site or anywhere else even halfway reliable for that matter is probably a sign that uh, there ISN'T an extra character on this version.

Wow, that's a Humarl?

Wasn't this discussed in another thread, about how the players who got the X-Box Live PSO beta didn't see or mention a new character...?

I doubt it anyways, it would make the classes unbalanced, bring the class total to 13 (and that's bad luck!) and considering how much time they took on Episode 2, seems doubtful they can rush one more character on fast, esp. with dozen of new things they need to get done first for XBL.

Off-Topic....sorry for going off topic, from all those screenshots from Sega's site, I just noticed 1 of them that says 'Voice Effect' and they have this ABCD thingy to adjust, wonder what it is *_*

I cant find anywhere on that japanese article that says the 2 new chars....

FOcast and FOcaseal are possible though improbable. Currently androids have elemental traps, and can still use the many weapons that possess inherant spellcasting abilities ... FO androids could outfitted with the next generation of "trap" technology, devices that either reproduce or roughly equate to the various techniques.

I'm still getting a kick at all of these people who hate the GameCube and how they keep trying to spreadrumors of the X-Box version having features theGCN one doesn't have. Like New area's, new character classes, and other stuff.

I'm only gonna say this once. The X-Box version is completely Identical to the GCN version. The only extra features the X-Box has that the GCN version don't is the Voice chat options. THAT'S IT!
