Not all Kubara weapons actually grind well. Several (was Riflic among them? I don't recall) actually follow a pattern more similar to Tenora Works weapons.

no kubara weapons are whiteish-gray, 8* weapons are black.

Ank Pikor @10 has 1401 ATP and 465 PP, so you're probably better off with the Pikor.

I know somebody that made one 50% ice and even then it was pretty feeble, like others have said you need to grind the hell out of them to be decent. I'll probably make one eventually as Axes are the weapon of choice for my Cast FF, I've made about 6 ice Pikors or Jarba Killers as I like to call them.

10 to match the Piktor? What a waste. I made one a while ago not knowing this. I grinded it twice and saw that the PP is already way better, but it looks like that's about it. Not touching it again until AOI.

I bought an aksuc for pa leveling, it does that ok.
You want those large monsters to stick around so you're always scoring 2 hits per attack. Particularly on Durega which starts off by throwing your victims all over the place.

PP ftw, I say. I like my Lacanata+10 better than my A rank spears, since it restores 1 more pp than them, and silences on occasion.

Also, it's the only thing I have gotten to +10 XD.

I prefer Vahra claws 5pp regen and 505 pp over kitty claws 1 pp regen and low pp. (345?)
