Grinding.....bad....sad

Hi guys,
I decide to grind my weapons with male beast (3 star luck) today. Here is the weapon list:

6 phantom
2 deathmaker
1 shigga bines
1 thunder cannon
3 gus missal

Here is the grinding strategy that I use for each weapon grind to get to +5:

0 > 1 I use A+5: no chance of failure
1 > 2 A+7: very high
2 > 3 A+7: very high
3 > 4 A+8: very high
4 > 5 A+9: high

Here are the survivors:

1 phantom
1 deathmaker
1 shigga bines
1 thunder cannon
1 gus missal

I am on 360, so I suffer approximately a net loss of:
$500,000*5 phantoms = 2,500,000
$500,000*1 death maker = 500,000
$300,000*2 gus missal = 600,000
Total = 3,600,000

How do you think I did? I feel depressed lol.

Anyways, I feel like halting my account and wait for AoI now since AoI is a couple of months away. I usually hunt for rare nowaday, but:

1) rare enemy drops is highly depended on the player's luck since it increases the chance of item drops. This system bothers me. I dont want to wait for 2 or 3 star luck day to hunt rares.

2) boss box rare is SO impossible. I have been killing so many bosses trying to get decent units, but I got nothing for about a month now.

Anyways, I am welcomed to suggestions and inputs.

1: You decided to Grind, theres a chance of breaking, and you suffered.

Rares: your not supposed to get one every run that's why they call them rares.

Actually to be more fair, I was trying to grind one of the phantom to +7 after reaching +5 and +6. Greed. XD heheh

guess what..... 3* luck day, any A+X grinder is a no chance of failure for the first grind. so those A+1 grinders do have a use!

rule of thumb never grind anything you dont have an equal replacement for

Sorry for ur lose. I only grinded 1 weapon yesterday and that was a twin kitty claw, got it to +4 also!

Also, I grinded 5 Howrods to +4, and none failed ^_^

I did however blow up my Hanametaric, which I replaced with a Ulteri (which I grinded to +3)

i grinded one drumline to +4 and another to +3 and sold that for 500k so i'm happy sorry for your lose though

that is bad luck, man. you should have lost perhaps 2 rifles, and 1 grenade launcher, and one 'other'. How mnay broke from 4->5?

I took 4 baton +9's (3 star wand) to the GRM shop. I used +10 grinders. 2 broke. 740 pp from a 3* wand is pretty great though.



PS: 9* are only worth 300K, no matter the flavor. Paying more does not make it WORTH more.

When AOI comes out we are not going to have grinding problems. They won't break. If you realy want to grind go for it. OR you can wait untill grinding won't break in the expansion and not have to worry about it.

$500,000*1 death maker = 500,000 9* COST 300k total new amount is 300k
$300,000*2 gus missal = 600,000
Total = 3,600,000 total new amount is 2.4 mil lost

BUT now all the +5 weapons you have are worth about 800k to 1 mil so you actually did really good profit ganed by grinding 2.5 mil+
