Well, obviously the Player's Handbook and Monster Manual are in. I'll throw in Monster Manual 2 and 3 too, because they're equally awesome. Complete series is nice, but I havent had a chance to really read Scoundrel or that new one that came out(Champion? Something like that) yet, so only Adventurer, Arcane, Divine, and Warrior. No psionics, never really learned how to do any of it. Races of Wild/Dragon/Stone/Destiny are cool, Player's Handbook II is nice as well. I'll probably delve into other books a bit but nothing anyone needs to worry about.

Any alignment, maybe we'll get a whole mass of characters in here so personalities can clash or something, that'd be a good dynamic. Just don't be an asshole because you're "Chaotic." That gets on my nerves.

Starting stats'll be 9(-1), 10(0), 12(1), 13(1), 15(2), 17(3). I think those are all right, anyway. Use them as you see fit.

It's gonna be less MONSTAR FIGHTAN oriented and more personality and RP oriented so keep that in mind making your character. I don't care if you make a pratical clone of an already famous character as long as it's interesting.

Starting money/equipment'll depend on the class you are, and we won't be going by the usual means of it, so I'll decide when people pick their classes how much money they'll get.

...also I expect no one understands this right.

It never took off. this'll be less structured and more FKL-worthy, cuz I'll just throw it in an FKL thread.

More like everyone RPing with somebody giving it some form of a plot and NPC Interaction.

Also, yeah, normal DnD character creation stuff. Anyone interested and in the dark on the information of these books, character sheets, whatever, PM me and I'll explain it. Or try to.

My usual sources are turning up blanks. I'll have to find some other way.

Oh, starting level will be 3, and any Monster races desired will have to be cleared and probably changed a bit, but will be workable.

Also, Half-Orcs'll only have a +2 to str, and -2 to EITHER Int or Cha. Both is pretty lame in my opinion.

If only I could get my hands on a copy, you'd better believe there'd be at least one 'Mystic Pimp' in the mix.

So far I have one person wanting to play a Human Cleric of Pelor. Another note, things won't be too serious but not too outlandish, if you can understand. More of a Neutral rather than chaotic or lawful.

Alright, I'm searching the DnD books and looking for a way to do that, right now. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Edit: Actually, here's what I found:

3rd level Earth Clerics, 3rd level Druids, and 4th level Wizards/Sorcerers get Stone Shape, allowing them to make the boulder round. 6th level Druids get Stone Tell, which lets you talk to the boulder (Like that would matter). And 8th level Druids get Repel Metal/Stone, so they can roll it in front of them.

Overall, it's possible but the Druid would've had to prepare a bunch of Repel Metal/Stone spells.

meld into stone
stoneskin
telekinesis
levitate

Asp was a great wizard who started to train as a Druid. Unfortunately, he fucked up a "meld into stone" spell and got stuck in a boulder permanently. Luckily, it/he/she knows "telekinesis," and can move itself. All atacks will be treated as a "Violent thrust" under telekinesis and do 1d6 damage for every 25 pounds, the biggest exception to the norms will be unlimited use of Telekinesis on self, but it shall be soley retricted to itself and this is the only attack it can perform.

He will also know "Levitate" and can use this at all times, so we don't have to deal with lifting him out of holes and crevices or steep hills. He can do this at any time, and will suffer the regular deffects if done in battle.

the boulder's life and resistance will be based on "stone skin." Damage reduction 10/adamantium, with 10 points of HP per caster level. Whenever we choose the caster level we will make it really high for a lot of HP, but Asp can never recover HP, never lv up, and is subject to immediate death by any severe earth alteration move that would crumble it or a spell that would cast him out. The only protection against this is a DC 18 fortitude save, but even if he suceeds he will still recieve damage (we can decide how much if not listed after we choose the HP or as need arises.)

We'll still have to work out a few stats, but not much. Asuming we do something like this.

Tact
Jun 20, 2007, 11:55 AM
Would Stone to Flesh get him out of the stone or kill him?

Sord
Jun 20, 2007, 11:56 AM
kill him (if he can't make the fortitude save.)

<font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Sord on 2007-06-20 09:56 ]</font>

Sord
Jun 20, 2007, 12:06 PM
for explanations sake, we'll say when he screwed up the "meld into stone" he was overly cocky and mixed Arcane magic with it. This resulted in not only his body but his mind and soul merging with the boulder as well. So essentially the boulder is now his "body" as well. Should it be changed to flesh it will be a large ball of random organs that definitly won''t work in that arangement, killing him. Seperating the mind from the body will kill him as well, as would ripping a heart out of a body, with the exception of astral projection and such. however, he is now so fused with the boulder even his astral form will be percieved as a boulder.

actually, the only thing that changes are racial and natural effects (which depends on what you become) as well as modification of Str Dex Con (also dependant on race of new body.) you keep everything else.

class abilities, ranks, feats, skills, base attack and save bonuses, and HP remain the same

though you'll have to hope your new body can wear your old stuff
