If anyone out there remembers playing PSO and remembers the ability to do Player vs. Player or team slayer then you'll know what i'm talking about.
My question is to every1 out there is would you want that addition into PSU:AOI? To fight against one another?

Its doable, but I don't think ennough JP wanted it... so I doubt it'll be avaible...

I just don't think it would "work" so to speak. It'd basically be whoever gets the first hit wins.

-techer uses Dambarta or the like, it's over.
-gunner keeps you too far away to attack, it's over.
-fighter gets you caught in a combo, it's over.

I don't think it would be any fun, and would just add another reason for people to run around screaming that they're better than you, and another reason for people to complain about X ruining the game.

Before I start, THERE HAS BEEN NO MENTION OF THIS MODE BEING ADDED IN AOI EVER, SO IN ALL LIKELIHOOD IT IS NOT GOING TO BE INCLUDED.

That being said, I'm indifferent either way. If they put it in, fine, if they don't, fine. I never used it in PSO and wouldn't start in PSU.

Dus Daggas would be TERRIBLE in PVP

Tripping up people with Rising Strike would be pretty good, probably.

nah, at psu there is not auto lock,
killer shot might need to be nerf a little,
As for megid, only noob can't dodge it.

Or you could just Dambarta until their frozen, then use whatever tech is the opposite element of their armor. Gunners could do the same, but faster. Fighters would just need to get their first hit off on the PA and unless the victim can block the hits or run away, they're probably going to die.

Hunter need to get boost on their HP/or 50% resistant to ALL
because their job is to run thought bullet to kill ranger.
while fT will surely lose to ranger, because Ranger can dodge all their tech. and hit faster.
However, Dambarta is teh thing to own hunter no matter what!!

But as I have stated in every single other zombified version of this thread:

You have no idea how it would pan out, until you actually try it.

Make all the theories, conjectures, plans, and ideas you want, they're still just that. Theories. You can only assume you know how it would work out, so to those naysaying it, forget what you "know", and to those of you supporting it, once again, forget what you "know".


And as I have also stated countless times before, even if PvP were broken, theres something you people keep forgetting. THIS AINT PSO. Sonic Team CAN rebalance characters and HAS rebalanced specific PA's, and theres no reason they couldnt have special "rules" for PvP that dont exist outside of battle. Wether this be nerfing SE's on Dam spells, or decreasing the base damage dealt, there is no reason why that with some effort on Sonic Teams part PvP couldnt be good.

Let me repeat that.

THERE IS NO REASON WHY THAT WITH SOME EFFORT ON SONIC TEAMS PART PVP COULDNT BE GOOD.

All it is is a matter of monitoring and testing individual aspects of it, and then responding to feedback about it.

But please, just let this debate die so I can stop using logic in these debates. Im tiring of noone listening to it.

Admittedly, that is where things could potentially run into problems. But I doubt that seriously as well.

Considering that we are simply handed updates from the japanese, and their Sonic Team branch actually seems to care, I feel that they would be more than interested in ironing out the bugs.

These are my feelings on the subject, but dont confuse me with those rabid 13 year olds who would love nothing more than to "ttly pwn u guyz in pvp lulz".

I personally dont care if PvP ever does show up in PSU, but if it did, I'd be the one flaming all the pansies leaving because it "rooined teh gaem."

My main complaint about PvP is that it fucks with the community.

However, our community is already pretty damn fucked up and shows no signs of improving, so whatever.

Battle Mode was an announced feature for its predecessor, Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 on Sega Dreamcast, and was subsequently carried over.

I do not welcome PvP to PSU. Aside from the multitudes of rebalancing that would be required to properly implement it, the sheer amount of DRAMALLAMA that would result would make the current 360 vs PS2/PC battles pale in comparison.

So, no thanks. ST should just use it's resources on what PSU was made for: PvE.
