Its not entirely true that a 360 player got it to drop first. Its just that with hacking on pc/ps2 you couldn't be certain all those early blackbulls were legit on pc/ps2.

Was this item not included in the huge wipe of weapons that ST did awhile back, e.g. was it an obtainable item at the time? If it did not get wiped, wouldn't there be more than a handful of them?

They used what the JPN pc/ps2 had available at the time (being almost 3 months ahead) at the time of the illegal item change. So weapons like Blackbulls and the 10* wand were not poofed. Calling it a wipe is kinda of misleading, making you think they actively went through everyone's inventories and storage. All they did was program a check everytime an item is put into your character's inventory, equipped, or taken out of synthesis. If the item isn't in their 'legal' item list it goes poof.


Being a non-Fig, non-FF, or non-FF weapon it was not mass-hacked. Maybe less than 10 hacks of Blackbulls were dispensed, compared to the 100+ crea doubles and 50+ hacked Halarods lol.
