Hey, I was wondering about this one too...

Its supposed to be similar, needs 2-4 players. Good rewards on A 32000 meseta, 320 mpts, 2x grinder base A, 2x pa frags. Lvl 60 requirement and lvl 85+ monsters. Not sure how easy it is though. Curious thing is that the rare gem materials can drop from boxes in this mission.

Aside from Diad, Im hoping Ortapolymer drops like candy on this new mission.

That Nanopolymer seems to drop like candy on that Firebreak mission in Seabed

It only shows things like wood, and the melee and gun gem materials dropping from boxes in this mission. Looks to be the place to farm Morbinia.

I guess it goes without saying that this is a timed mission like bruce's?

It probably is timed, non timed would be way to easy man.

Golto

I think it is timed but it is the number of specimens that determines the ranking you get at the end of mission.

from psu wiki

<Appraisal S condition>20 collections
<Appraisal A condition>16~19 collection
<Appraisal B condition>11~15 collection
<Appraisal C condition>7~10 collection
<Restriction time>C ranking 15:00 B ranking 22:00 A ranking 30:00

So A rank gives you 30 minutes. If you want to get an s ranking in A you need to get 20 specimens in 30 minutes.

WRONG!!!! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif well, somewhat.

There is a time limit, but the time doesn't matter!!!! YAY~~~

I should explain a bit further. Basically, 50pts per chip you find. Theres 20 chips. If you do the math, that means you get 1000 pts if you get all 20 (not hard at all). Next, you get 300 pts if you beat the time limit. That means you only need 14 chips and 30minutes, or 20 chips to get S-rank.

The mission is slightly random. Chip locations are sometimes slightly different. Some monsters switch element based on chip locations. Your team is split up during the last block, so everyone needs to be able to solo a little. Its overall a pretty safe and easy mission as long as you aren't going for time. And you NEED 4 people, and atleast one needs to have a rifle or a bow to get all 20 chips.

By "need" 4 people, do you just mean it's ridiculously hard otherwise, or do you actually need 4 to start the mission/get S? And why the rifle/bow? Or is that just another "need" sort of thing with SE4?

Erm, does this mission have both kamatozes and those bat/demon things? Is it a yummy hunting ground for fortefighters with a claw fetish?

I agree Tengohgs and Kamatozes are a bitch, but there are ways to deal with them. My best advice is Anga Dugrega for the Kamatozes and a Python with elemental bullets for the Tengohgs. (Bonus points if you grind the Python.)

Apart from that, anything else that's good at knocking over large enemies (in the case of the Kamatozes) or drilling down durable, single-target monsters (in the case of the Tengohgs) should work. So you could also use, for instance, Rising Strike and the first single claw PA.

As for the gem drops--HEL YEH. Momma needs some Morbinias! Shoop da whoop!

Morbinia won't drop there. Only things like Lolpad, Citrad, Diad, Ruby's Nads, etc.

Sorry people, just doin the good ol' civic duty here, any time that synth mat shows up in conversation there is a requirement.

LOL.

Well, I still don't have a Tengoh Bow or Degahna Cannon, so Olpads and Rubinads are good news to me all the same. I need some unique A-ranks for my PT, anyway.

EDIT: And the rewards on this mission make me feel better about the fact we're losing Urgent Orders and its sick MP/meseta payout.

By "need" 4, you need 4 people in order to get 1 sample. 3 people for the switch and the fourth to shoot out the switches and grab the sample.

The most any other party can get is 19. YOu do get paid even for a C, but it assumes you have found at least 8 samples. Any less and you get no reward.

What lyrise said. To explain more accurately, theres 3 switches that need to be simultaneously pressed. Inside, theres some boxes, and 3 switches out on the water that must be shot. But they're outside of pistol range. Which means you need a rifle/bow.

Or perhaps you can use a pistol... but you have to be positioned extremely well for it... I don't remember. I just remember we always sent a RA or FO in there.

Interesting, I was not aware of that. I've gone through the JP-Wiki's drop charts several times over, but I always ignored this mission, since it doesn't have enemies level 100+.

And yes, Sarin, Ruby's Nads.

And where are you getting this 2x PAF thing at? It's not listed on the wiki anywhere.

If you looked closely at the charts there enough, you'll notice that it's dotted with many errors. A good example of this is Tunnel Recovery below S2, it lists drops from a mission with Omnagoug >.> There's also many other sparse errors through out various other missions. Just because it's listed there doesn't mean it's dead on fact. You're basicly putting trust in a random person that could put anything up there they want. Being how odd this, I won't buy it til I see picture proof of it.

srsly.

The other day, though, I was in an A group that usually got like C ranks because we killed everything in hot pursuit of XP and rarz. (We did not, however, restart on non-Jaggo maps.) One guy in the group kept joking that everyone leaving the group because it was bedtime, etc. was just leaving to Jaggo hunt on B.
