View Full Version : Pictures which I'll someday complete (update: Alielle)

Named because well... bleah, everyone knows how I am when it comes to pictures. o_O One day, I'll complete 'em all!

http://ranko.anifics.com/rough/ice.gif

Something I'm working on. o_O Unlike the others, this one is INKED, meaning the chances of completion is... well... 5% higher than the others. >_<

Things to note... the blade isn't drawn in, because photoshop will handle that (hopefully). o_o

In case thoses who are wondering, it's a pic of my HUmar, holding the infamous "white handle DB saber" (old-timers might remember the joke).

Another one done so long ago, but unscanned, is the present I promised for Hiko. o_O

http://ranko.anifics.com/rough/hiko.jpg

This one is uninked, which somehow makes it look better (on the paper, anyway). o_O Sadly, I ran out of room on the paper to include the FOmarl and RAcaseal. >_<

The Humars very cool, well drawn. He does have spooky eyes though due to the lack of pupils, but im guessing theyll be added once you colour it. Colour it and the pic will be perfect.

Hey Icey, I'm in a coloring mood, can I give the HUmar picture holding a DB saber a try? I don't promise anything but I'll use all of MSpaint's feature to the fullest to make it look cool. This one will probably be slightly diffrent looking then lok's (since I'm secretly working on lok's drawing, shhhh! don't tell anyone!) since I'd like to try an other style of MSpaint coloring with yours. (yup, their is more then one coloring technique in MSpaint :O)

I have the same problems with unfinished pics, got a pic of an elf I was workin on and stopped colouring it half way through.
Sometimes you just lose steam or the pic loses it's interest after a while.
I'm guessing your the type that likes to work on somthing fresh after one peice ends up taking longer than you thought it would, or it doesn't have the impact it had when you started it. (well thats pretty much how I am)

Anyway half finished stuff is pretty cool in a way, since you get to see the different stages of the art. Also the more you only half finish means you have time to start a new pic, which you can post up here hehe.

That, and some others. I want to finish the picture, but something new pops up in my head so I must draw it on paper before I forget, and perhaps I did it wrong so I gotta redraw it... ^_^;;

That's precisly what I want to attempt with the HUmar, I have to work my shading effects. It's easy to just color parts of the body, but it's harder to add some shade and form ... well it is to me http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif;

You have to visualise the concept of what you want in your head beforehand... or draw a rough of what you want on paper and follow. ^_^; Don't worry, practice makes perfect. ^_^

Secrets to my techniques? o_O I don't think I have any. O_O Feel free to study my techniques if you wish. ^_^; The only problem I have now is drawing males who don't appear too girlish... hehe.

As to my method of drawing, I always start on the eyes. I don't bother with creating skeletons and body parts. o_O I visualise, and draw. ^_^;; I'd suggest getting the "How to draw MANGA" series... they might lead you off to a start. Remember, it doesn't hurt to do real life drawing once in a while either!

"Style" of the last few drawings? They're just in pencil, with the scanner set to scan the faint lines... o_O

Though we don't, we'd probably benefit more by using skeletons/wire models/stickmen/manniquins o_O It's a good idea to get into the habit. ^_^; Oh, one tip when you're done is to look at it from a distance as well as viewing your work in a mirror to catch any glaring errors. ^_^
