Let us know the most fun mission you ever played by yourself(and maybe with your pm and npc of course).

well mine has to be Mab Beast S2. I solo'd this mission with my level 75 techer and the mission took me 1:16 to complete. I must admit the mission took me FOREVER but it was worth it. it was fun and challenging. Didnt get the drops i wanted ([B] halarod,[B]sweet death,[B]stormline) but i did manage to find some some what rare mats. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'd have to agree with the original OP's selection of Mad Beasts S2. I can't believe all of you have no fun soloing. It certainly isn't fun 100% of the time, but it definitely isn't horribly difficult (with the exception of some missions).

It's definitely the only way I would've gotten a guaranteed Ragnus. :/

And I am quite eager to solo (though a friend of mine will frequently attend) Desert Terror S2 this weekend. We've got plenty to hunt there.

I guess the reason I enjoy soloing so much is, surprise surprise, it brings back kind of a PSO feel to it, hunting down a pack of mobs that you need to kill for that shiny weapon you're trying to get. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Anyway...I wouldn't call it fun, but the least frustrating time I had soloing was doing Eastern Perill.

Clearly, what with all of the team based missions and difficulty of some of the others. But if I can solo a hard mission with good rewards and fairly little trouble for my effort, why wouldn't I if it means all those nice Walna, 10-12* ores, and perhaps S rank boards go to me. After all, I AM doing all of the work there.

But you are right, really. It isn't quite FUN, exactly, but it gives me more of a sense of accomplishment in this game than just leveling PAs and class levels does. (I really should count the amount of times I've said that.)

I'd have to say Dulk Fakis on C. (Yeah, I'm weak. XP) I had NPCs, of course.

It didn't give me much of a reward, but it brought back memories of fighting the Olga Flow alone when my Xbox Live was down.

yeah but Olga flow was HARD!! I couldnt beat him on normal mode untill I was lvl 68 and I had the help of my Inferno bazooka +8 and he was still hard and I wasted a few scapes

And yet it's a whole lot easier to say "solo" than to say "my PM, Leo, and I". As if those NPCs had any real character and could pick up items, open doors, or remove traps like people can.

I'll have to remember to say Me, Leo, and my PM are going to run Rainbow Beast S2, God forbid somebody confuse me for using crap-tastic NPCs or not.

I'm not sure why you're frustrated over such a small detail as that.

Soloing can include your PM's. They're not human players, all they do is follow you around and help out in minor ways. They're more of an extention or tool. But it's pretty useless to bring them along for higher ranking missions, because they just take down your rank.

Soloing is great because it only relies on you. It's very challenging and bringing down omnagoug (or some hard boss) on your own, feels rewarding. I played PSO offline, so I soloed the entire game to ruins/seabed ultimate soloing.

In PSU i still find myself soloing alot for rares and challenges. Mad Beast S2 was pretty boring. It mostly consisted of jumping from safe spot to safe spot leaving my controller shooting on auto. My favorite would probably be soloing grove of fanactics C with my noob force.

Moonlight Beast is really fun to solo on C and B, and if you get a party is great fun on A rank.

The look of Neudaiz's foresty glens and rocky cliffs look very nice at night. I wish the other planets had missions that take place at night with a sky full of stars and bright moon(s) shining up in the night sky.

Man i miss that "Nights" quest from PSO EP I&II....

The only solo mission I had fun on was Plains Overlord C a couple of days after I joined Network mode. And by solo I mean NO help from NPCs or PMs(I didn't have one at the time either). It got extremely boring at the boss part but the actual stage was ok. I had to keep a group of Vahras chase me until one will catch up and get into a one on one fight with them.

My reward for doing this? Nothing, I spent more money than I gained. Any other time I solo'd after that it wasn't much fun and was pretty boring.

I didn't sign up online to solo play. Not in PSO, and certainly not in PSU. Whenever I've tried cause of rares, or what not, I tend to nod off cause it's just SO boring.

Rainbow Beast S2 with Lou (before they messed her up...she only uses that rifle now -_-) and Leo. ~45 minutes to do it once, but finding the [B] Deva-Zashi and a bunch of Vulcaline/Ydral/Neu Walna was awesome. =)

I solo Mad Beasts S2 regularly, hunting [B] Meteor Cannon. 4 Polas in one block (with the right map variations), with a chance of some Par Walna isn't too bad...

I don't solo much. I hate playing by myself, especially when I'm online. Though if I had to choose one, I'd say the time I couldn't get into uni 1 or 2 to try out Mad Beasts S2 so I tried solo'ing it in the universe I was in at the time. When I thought 90K was a huge amount of meseta I solo'd Rouge's Shortcut S, just for that odd looking enemy that you fight at the end of train rescue...and then I fought dimma... as a fortefighter (i think I was fF6/65).

Needless to say his wings didn't break.

Anyway, I am out of antimates, monomates, dimates, and down to maybe 3 trimates, and a sol atmomizer. And Dimma goes into his poison cloud whirlwind move, and I am waitng for the pp to recharge in my sad sack rayratore to shoot him with my only bullet PA. When it charges I take a few shots and get zeros (yay beast ATA!), but then dimma lands and I run over to him, buy I forget to switch over to my lightning jitseen so I end up shooting him again.

I think I did 7 damage or something, but it was enough, Dimma died.

as a protranser, soloing some areas is actually entirely possible, i have yet to do anything above B rank but its a nice change of pace to only rely on yourself, and its also surprising that everything is now targeting YOU as opposed to your allies and you XD

Before I got my PM to level 80 I really liked soloing sleeping warriors. I was trying to get my armor rating up so I would collect nanosilica to make armors to feed it.
