when you make a weapon and it has like.. 20% darkness or sumthing in its stats, whats that exactaly mean? its 20% more effective against light element creatures?

also the highest % ive seen in other peoples shops and such its 20%, but i synthed a Derdira w/ 50% light, does that mean its rare or sumthing? XD *confused*

50% in the highest a weapon can go, Elemental presents means it does XX% more damage to the opposite element.

Yeah, 50% is pretty rare. The % means it does (using your weapon) 20% more damage to Light monsters. If you had an Armor with...25% Light, you'd take 25% less damage from Light monsters.

However, percentages work both ways. You'll do 20% less damage to Dark monsters and take 25% more damage from Dark monsters.

For weapons:
20% dark means
20% more damage against light enemies
20% less damage against dark enemies

For armor:
20% dark means
20% more damage from light enemies
20% less damage from dark enemies

What the percent calculates off of (weapon Att, char ATP, PA %) I'm not sure of, but anything above 25% is particularly useful.

For example, my 50% fire megaline, while 5* and has sucky stats compared to a Crimson Line, means I take maybe 80-120 damage from hits on Urgent Orders A. Those are hits from level 100 monsters.

My 44% dark Solidline means I take 12 damage from Deljabans in Unsafe Passage S. Though I can still die from Megid, I can take things down there like it was Mad Creatures C.

I've done tests and it seems element % on weapons is multipled after pa %.

For example say you have 600 atp, use a weapon w/ 200 atp, 20% element, and 150% pa with elemental advantage.

800*1.5 = 1200 *1.2 = 1440 atp

The mistake most people have is adding pa % and element %.
Incorrect way 800 * 1.7 = 1360
This explains the mysterious 5%+ difference people see when using the incorrect way.

I'm still not 100% on calculating damage reduction using elemental armors though. There is a large difference not accounted by the stats and %. Usually in the range of 10~12%.
