I just hit lvl 80, my Class is Maxed, alll my PAs too and I have a good ennough bunch of weps, but not the best.

The first couple weeks on an alt are pretty fun, going back through all the equipment ranks... synthesizing low-rank gear and everything. It's also nice to have a second character who can make use of all the materials your main doesn't normally do anything with.

Alts are one thing, also it takes longer to level up all your *wanted* skills for your character, than it takes to level up your character. If that fateful day ever comes (likely? maybe not) that my character will ever reach a level limit; I know I have plenty of time to finish off those skill levels I want for my main. Plus, I do need to mess around with ForteTecher a bit, so I can raise my buffs/debuffs higher.

lol when I was doing that everyone thought I was doing it because I felt I was "too good" to be level 80 lol

What did you do when you capped your main?


my main is far from capped... has a lot of work to do on bullets, then melee PAs. I'm focusing on bullets first, getting them all to 21(Fighgunner so, for the expansion) then focus on my melee PAs.
I also hate capping a PA, because then I never want to use it until the others are capped. I also don't play nearly as much as the people that have had this game as long as I have. I just recently broke 800 hours having had the game since release lol

Snyth all kinds of items. Lots of others have alt characters too and finding good B grade weapons of diffent types seems a bit lacking in the player shops (for example).

i hit back a week after they made 80 the cap. just been hunting stuff and helping lower lvl people lvl. i switched classes a few times just now went fortegunner cuz i want to get all my twin hadgun arts to 30 and my machine gun arts to 30

With that ALT character I would be working out right now, hanging out with close friends, reading a book, going to the beach, the Club, etc. but I will stick with one. the main one. which the one I always use. Which is The Only one I use. LOL

I refused to do the alt thing too for the longest time. I recently started one, and it's a nice escape from the main. Basically, I only play it when I'm sitting around with nothing to do and I don't feel like using my main atm.

What did you do when you capped your main?
Don't really remember or keep up with what I do. I know when cap was 50, I leveled my cast. Jumping to the present, when I hit 80, I basically stop playing a ton and continued my studies at the university. Had exams week after week, but PSU and other games were there when I needed a break and time to myself. I say for about a good 2-3 months, I let my gf use my account and play 99% of the time and sometime in May, I played the game myself again.

What is there left to do?
Well, I always find something to do like in all games (except ffxi). I'll list a couple things, but I don't feel like listing them all.
- Level your other characters to 80. Sorry, I don't believe in main/alt characters in this game since the leveling system is a joke in this game. I have no main, I just play whatever character that is best suited for that mission.
- Level PAs to 30 and I mean every PA your character can get for that class. Unfortunately, I don't really do this much when it comes to melee/range pas as I level them with peeps. Real boring if not. If you really want to kill time, level technics and bullets to 30. Talk about a lot of work lol.
- Rare hunting. This is probably the only thing that keeps me playing anyways. Start collecting rares i.e hunt. I have yet to see a person that has every single rare in this game lol. And with the horrid drop rate on some of these items (solid/power S, sori tech charge, etc), I'll be hunting for ages lol. Well, thats what pso is all about or so my old friend used to tell me.
- PM leveling/craft - Yeah, go level that bstat to 100 even if it doesn't affect your pm lol. And you could focus on making weapons/armor/etc as I think thats all my friend did in FFXI. In my words, manipulating the economy for your own benefit.
- PA frag runs - You never know when Sega will add more pas/bullets/technics or if you make another character. Boring but it gives you something to do as you meet new peeps (unless you static with people and refuse to play with us common folk because we are inferior somehow lol).

Uh thats it for now. I really don't think people would want me to list everything nor do I feel like doing that. I just know that I always keep myself occupied in PSU and have things to accomplish. Then again, I have 4 high level characters so I have much more to do than a person with just one high level character.

Seems like the no-lifer people are back. No I really do miss you as the boards would be boring without you. You can have this so called "life" while playing PSU. Rather easy to level in this game that is a joke. Go play those grind heavy games like Lineage, Archlord, and RF Online for example. If you become level 100 in Archlord, then I really would say you have no life as it will take you years to get that, but then again, I don't say things like that to people. Don't feel like bringing my philosophy babble in this post. But do like seeing .01% exp gain when you kill a mob and you have 99.99% to go lol? Thats exactly how those games are. Sega just needs to bring back PSO leveling system and just make a drastic leap to 200 cap. Then you no lifers can call those capped people "no lifers" lol.

I thought that too, but then I was looking in my box and saw my nice 6* weps grinded to 10 that I never touch anymore, and hitting level 18 and using them and doing 250 damage a hit... oooo so nice

Well, I did something crazy on Sunday night. I deleted my level 62 CAST just for aesthetic reasons. In about 2-3 days (About 17-18 hours -not even a day, actually- in this character) I've already managed to accomplish these things:
-Got him to level 26 (Probably would have been higher if I didn't try to do this next thing...)
-Got him to his advanced class AND leveled it to 3
-Oh, and I still had time to go watch a movie, hang out with friends, and spend time with my niece.

Yeah...alts sure do take a lot of time. Especially when you know where to go! Wow! Took me so long to get so little done...>.>
