Yes, 10$ a month, I believe. You have to pay a fee on all versions of PSU.

Male Beasts are best for melee, but their accuracy sucks.

there is no best but beast was designed to be the best melee char but due to stat balancing casts are the best meleer

You can play on the 360 with an XBL Silver account, but you probably already have a gold, so yeah you have to pay for both. About $15.00/month total. I used to burn through $15.00 in a few hours at the arcade....you see, when I was a kid, if you wanted to play against other people, you had to go to this thing called an "arcade"....

you mean you had to pay for those things in the 360 arcade every time you played them? NO WAI!

1. Yes

2. The best melee character is not the race its the player. Corny I know, but I wanted to go there.

Yes...they used to be housed in primitive "cabinets", one game per cabinet. These cabinets were then arranged in a particularly dark, unventilated room overseen by a geek in his early 20's. You would insert a quarter (some places used "tokens" instead) into a particular cabinet and you would be able to play the installed game as long as you didn't "die" a set amount of time, or as long as you reached a "checkpoint" in time or if you beat your opponent in a best of 3 match, depending on the game chosen.

a silver account on Xbox Live is free (if i rembmer right) but you don't get some added features of XBox Live.

PSU can be played with a Silver Account

Yes. And AMAZINGLY, people would talk less trash when they were face to face. Get someone a mic in their living room and all of the sudden they turn into Charles Bronson....(Note: I once got beat in SFII by a guy who played with one hand!)

To the OP- Newmans are terrible Fortefighters. If you are, see, or know a Newman Fortefighter, feel sorry for them

let's just put it this way...360 has a few more feature provided by the 360, not the game, better graphics, and a bigger community, but none of those extra features are necessary and often prove more annoying than they are worth...the graphics are inconsequential and while it does have a bigger community I'd say the PS2/PC community in more knowledgable and fun in general to play with...even though the fun part is largely opinion and past experiences in other areas than the actual game with the people on the 360 so it's not really a fair critique.

play the demo on 360 and if you can stand using the controller and headset get that, otherwise get the PS2 ver.

Some of these questions, if not most, you're asking are opinions. You need to play the game for yourself. I'd recommend the 360 version since its more stable right now and less hackable.

-lack o players

-360 version looked much clearer

also u dont have to pay for xbox live to play this game! u can get a silver xbox live account which is free except u cant play any other normal xbox live games online, just this one.

Was this in or around Dayton Oh or at Kings Island or Cedar Point? I use to actually be a ternament SFII player and I would beat people one handed...

Also, arcade games had a certain feel the home systems can't recreate, playing Galaxy Force 2 in the arcade is way more fun then on ANY home system....

i am NOT trying to spark a flame war >.>; just gotta correct some things.
1st. Lack of Players? Sure Xbox has much more than us, but its not like we cant find a game
2nd. I never lag. Saying that PS2/PC is very very laggy is wrong. Just because 1 person doesnt load or cant talk or cant use a weapon doesnt mean the entire server does.
3rd. I have not seen the Xbox 360 version, but i have the PS2 version. It looks clear. I know that the 360 can have better graphics, but i ahve seen a friends game. Holy crap. His graphics card for his PC is amazing, and it makes my ps2 version look like blocks.
So dont go saying things about ps2/pc even if you "heard" them. Unless you have played them, dont say anything

I have both the PS2 (offline only) and the 360 version and there is a bit of a difference. I'm not really sure whats wrong with the way things are drawn on the PS2 version, but it just looks fuzzy and I think the draw distance is shorter. Not positive though, because once I played the 360 version I pretty much swore PS2 off altogether. The 360 version also has the option for 720p/1080i resolutions, if you have an HDTV. If you do, I would strongly recommend getting the 360 version. For those of you out there that have played on an HDTV, then tried to play it in SD on someone else's TV you'll know what I'm talking about. My wife plays on an SDTV in the bedroom. One night I decided I would throw my HD in her 360 and play in bed. It was almost unplayable...
