So, im a lonely PSO gaming swede, and i need some information quick... Is it even possible for us europeans to connect to US servers with our ISP:s?? And if so, will it not be ridiculously expensive?? (with dial-up of course)... Is there anyone, ANYONE *echo* that knows anything about this!

P.S. If anyone has other useful information about connectivity and such for us europeans, please post it here... Every tiny little bit of info is deeply appriciated. D.S.

hm... depends on your isp, but usually you wont use an american provider in sweden, would you? you dial up to your isp's server (in sweden) and every connection worldwide would be made from there.
thats a in-town-call at most, but that depends on your isp, if there's a dial-up-fee on top on your pay-per-minute-fee (i guess you have no flatrate...).

AAa.. Ok... Nice to have at least one fellow european on the board... Thanks Rena...

Thats true... I will use a swedish ISP... Another thing that worries me is something called PPP, or Point-to-Point Protocol.... Do u know what that is?... Apparently its needed for to connect properly to the SEGA servers... It says so on thier FAQs anyways...

i know not that much about PPPoE but if the provider you use support it (and nowadays every provider at least should, if not, does) the game will configure the bba in the right way.

i think if you can manage to get your hands on a modem soon, its the best to try it out.
worst case scenario would be that you'll have to change isp/provider. it should work, i guess.

I use dial up, with BT as an ISP.

No extra costs-one monthly bill (*excluding the hl).
