I'd say fG because beasts can put a lot of punch in to the bullets and once you get higher job levels you get a nice ata modifier so your low ata isn't that bad.

Except for killer shot and SE that depends on ATA (I think) beast Fortegunner is very good in terms of damage.

I'm personally not a big fan of Gunners doing damage to the point that they can catch up to Fighters, but yeah, pick what you like.

Beast Gunner would be more useful for damage. You could equip a Hard/hit charge to compensate for the beast ATA loss.

Techer, because a FT with high HP and DFP is truly amazing. The high accuracy of cards makes the racial low ATA largely irrelevant as well.

Strictly in numbarz terms, Fortegunner. The class ATA is high enough that the racial ATA doesn't matter too much, so beast gunners can do SE delivery just fine and are quite good at DPS. You might not want to use an SPS, though; those seem popular among rangers. Stick to a Mega / Power (or an HPC or bullet save; whatever trips your trigger).

gunner, absolutely. In fact, you could argue that beast is the second best Fortegunner, as thier beast form gives them melee capability for those situations where a little extra is helpful (like right atfter you virus trap the horse enemies at the end of Holy Ground).
