Desert Terror = Rares = ZERO

I have done this mission over and over and seen ZERO rare boards/weapons.
Lots of slaterian, kerseline etc, but BUGGER ALL ELSE!!!! Am I just unlucky?

We got a Shock / Resist and a Gur Bazga after about 70 runs. The Gur Bazga went to a member of the party who had just joined and is not a member of our team. He made fun of us for it. Great guy.

If you're expecting to find an S [B] within 100 runs, don't count on it. If you do find anything in under that time, consider yourself lucky. It can take up to 200 runs or more until you see something. Never expect to see something drop- it will make it feel that much longer -.-

You just have to keep going until you get something. There's really no other alternative. In PSU there's "dumb" luck, and there's the people that grind until they get what they want.

Mad Beast S2 seems like the best map at times for frequent drops over 9*

Exactly, i really hate when people complain about 7* mats. most things in this game can be used for something. especially 7* and up. ya gotta think of other people. another mans trash is truly another mans treasure. i love saving on mats for atls weapons/items.

As for the S-rank boards... they drop often enough to be rare, just not ridiculously so. Unless you're just horribly unlucky you'll see a drop eventually.

I really dont think you need 100 runs to get an S rank. On my 15th run at DT S2 someone in my party got a Gudda Skela [b], and I've done 50 runs of Rainbow Beast S2 and found nothing. If you stay determined you'll eventually get something.

Replace with Vulcaline and it'd be awesome. Vulcaline drops a lot, but I'd take a load more instead of Kerseline.

lol... honestly vulcaline drop just as many times if not more than kerselines. Today my party picked up almost every rare and when I returned to my room later that morning I found 1 kerseline and 5 vulcaline in my inventory.

It's not so much of how HARD it is to get them, but how some people literally run into your game and get a weapon they don't deserve.

It 100% rightfully went to them fairly (it's random), but they don't deserve it at all when the rest of their party has been busting their ass day after day to get said rare.

That's why I tried to convince my team to play locked with only the people we work out deals and call rares with. Maybe they'll listen to me now. -_-

I know of one person who has the Gur Asted board on the 360 servers, and that's Mini Ms. Yeah, I saw a gudda skela board drop and that's the only S board I've seen that dropped, and i've only done about 20 runs total there.

Last night I was lucky and got a Bil de Vear horn. That baby's gonna get me rich!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna write a theory on when S rank rares drop...

My [B]Gur Asted is cooking right now. It will be done tomorrow at 10am pst. I've got my fingers crossed.

I've done this run quite a bit and here's how I've done so far.

First 5 days, nothing.

Yesterday while soloing/leveling my bullets I found 2 Skela boards in 5 minutes and decided to finish the level. I found the Gur Asted board in the boss boxes.

Today a buddy in my party found another Skela board.

i see your point, but remember that a high enough grinded 9* weapon is in many ways better than the current S ranks. So while i hate getting slaterian i know its still useful.

LOL this reminds me of an old thread complaining about the drop rates. But i have to ask (since iam not high enogth yet to run Desert Terror S2) why not do what iam planning on doing with Desert Golaith S in 3lvls ask people you know to help do the runs and agree before hand who gets what rares.

i.e. when i start desert Golaith S Blackbull [B]'s will go to me and anything else is anyone elses. this seems fair to me and is easy to set up just say in the mission comment box who gets what if they appear if you leave it unlocked.
I plan on doing this in Desert Terror S2 when iam high enogth to get a Gur Asted or 2 (wishful thinking i know)

yes yes... I know you all love your +10 kubaras.. but remember how difficult it is to +10 a single weapon without breaking tons of em before you get that -1- you wanted. =p

Getting the gear you want is long, hard road in most online RPGs. PSU is no different. I think in a lot of situations, the effort vs. reward is greatly unbalanced in PSU in particular, but I guess we will have to live with it...
