Furries are people that draw anthropmorphic art where the subject matter is an animal with human-like features. A good example of this would be Starfox (although hes actually cool). This is why beasts arent technically furry's, as theyre actually humans with animal like features, not the other way around.

The reason that furries are generally hated (and called various names) is not however because of there art. The reason is because that many (not all) are attention whores that require themselves to show off their lifestyle to the rest of the world. This includes, but isnt limited too fursuiting (the act of wearing an outfit in an attempt to make yourself a furry) yiff porn (furry porn) and the "reimagination" of various famous peopple or characters as furries. Which is ghey.

Essentially speaking, anti-furryism is due to the fact that most people (including myself) dont care what you get off on, or what you do in your free time, or behind closed doors. What you do there is yours to do. Its the fact that a good amount of the furry populace seems to think that their lifestyle should be freely exhibited to people that would normally not care to see it, and that they become indignant towards people that criticize them for this, that most people disdain them.


EDIT: Plus, its lead to some of the worst sonic the hedgehog fan art ever. As well as just usally being really really really ghey.

In addition to what Niered said, I would like to point out that plenty of furry artists (like myself) don't want anything to do with the "famous" side of the fandom, including referring to people as furries. Those people just like to draw critters more than humans, and maybe grew up with Bugs Bunny and Disney movies.

I agree - considering their background and home planet, naturally you'd think most Beasts would be tanned. After all, the story mode ones (Leo, Laia, Tonnio, Liina, Bunami, etc) are tanned. Mine is too, although a light one. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

i made clobber white once (when she had to go through the gauntlet of being a ranger for 5 levels ><), and she looked terrible. absolutely terrible. like not even funny terrible....

it just doesn't work very well on beasts i guess...

i like how you're able to see more definition in the models the darker you make them... especially on bare stomachs.
