Hello. Before we begin let me start by saying something to those who will come in just to flame.


Parental discretion advised:
I don't give a shit.
It's all in the competition. We're here to play and find enjoyment in this game. This is the way we enjoy things and that's what will happen. Life? We have lives. It's Friday - Sunday night that we'll be capable of having to dispose for this race so no worries for us ;].

With the release of level 90 coming up in this next update,
most of you all should know by now that there will be a race or some sort of contest going around.

Yea, basically it's a race to hit level cap first.

Here's the changes and organization of how this race will become:

1. This time around, players who want to race will have to give their character name and team in this thread so that I can add them to the contest.

2. There will only be a ranking of 20 players.
If you do not reach the cap before any of those 20 players, you will not be added into the rank list.
(tough luck, but good game... Maybe next level cap.) That means that a total of 3 teams plus 2 from a different team would actually make the rank.

3.So you ranked with your main but will race with an alt? That will count as a different contestant. You can get a rank for any character you bring. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

4. Please take a screen cap of your level as evidence that you succeeded in the race.

5. What do you win? Nothing really. It's all in the fun. What started as a race within a group of friends becomes a race with a community. Oh... A screenshot of the final ranked players ;]

Results will have:
1. All contestants as a whole
2. A PC/PS2 division
3. A 360 Division

That means that you can be ranked as top 1 on a side but as a whole we'll place in order who capped first and so forth.

Each level race I've been in usually takes 2 days or 3. to reach cap.

18k per 15 minutes ( level 70 race)
20k per 15 minutes ( level 80 race)
now I presume 40k+ per 30 minutes or 30k per 15 minutes for this race. It just depends on how face a team goes.

My policy is exp over time... If I get more exp over time succeeded then I'm doing a good job. If I get less exp per time completed then I'm straggling behind.

My only concern is.. a possible GL expiration (like last time). I missed out 2 days of the race,
and when I came back on, instead of possibly coming 8th, I barely managed 19th. That's a huge

Can you tell me the total exp for the level 90 cap? This may help on determining the average speed of gaining exp.

Would enter, hope to be #1 @ 90, then look forward to the nubs saying no life. That would be the ultimate prize (well for me it be a bunch of laughs at ppl who say it). But last time I hardcored it to 80, I got burnt out of the game pretty bad. Reminds me of the old FFXI days where my friend made me play from 12 pm to 3 am in this l33t azz party nonstop and the worst part about it was I was the f'ing tank (ninja). Think I nearly died keeping up that awesome tanking of mine for that long and I had about 1k headaches. Either that or those daily static parties back when ffxi first came out meh lol. Now thats grinding, not like PSU where its a joke to get max level (in my eyes, maybe not yours).

Anyways, taking my time since we have that 3 luck week. Don't see no reason to rush tbh and I got 4 characters to level to 90 anyways. Try a Windows repair if you have an original Windows CD. It's a similar process to a format except it doesn't touch anything that's not related to Windows system files. All it does is it just reinstalls the essential Windows components. It's definately worth a try as it doesn't delete anything like My Documents folders, Program Files and such.

Or something like that...


Back on topic, I'll be racing on my main char: Akatora. I don't expect to be one of the first few to get to 90 though.

Likely because of my Firebreak experience and the fact I'll probably be doing repeated runs in Mine Defense. Not constantly, of course. Actually, that's pretty obvious. I'd like to throw in my hat here and already do a prediction that 50% of the people rushing to 90 (by playing just some select high EXP missions) are going to be the first to start complaining that there's nothing to do. The game is boring, and you always do the same stuff repeatedly. Mostly because they chose to do the same repeated stuff just to get to 90 quickly. Seems the only way to get your best enjoyment out of the experience is to not rush things. Make progress, but make progress with variety or picking missions based on your most fun experience.

I personally can't wait to face more Billys, and I'm not talking about Billy_Witchdoctor.com.
