So anyway PSU (or PSO) Pet Peeve's I know you all have at lease one. My Pet peeves are all in game.
one of my many pet peeves are...

People Spamming TORNADO DANCE!
Its a nice move and all and can be effective at certain time but please you don't need to spam it every 2 secs stealing EXP from us slower moving people. If your trying to level it You may want to solo or maybe ASK your teammates if they mind you using it a lot.

What are other people's pet peeves and do you think if someone who does any of these peeves will stop once they know it annoys a few people?

Currently, people using knock-arounds on Bil De Vears. Which is, just about every pick-up party I've been to.
Also, people saying that Newmen are space-elves. Unfortunately, it's true, so instead I'm going to say I'm mad at sega for making the most badass sci-fi race into the most generic fantasy race.

2. Absolute stupidity on the part of a player. Accidents happen but why the hell would you sell ALL of your healing items at lv 10 to buy a 3* sword from an NPC shop then join a party doing "Her Secret Mission" only to die trying to hit a buffed Kamatoze with said weapon...

It's funny when I join a party, and I die, and no one says anything. They just leave me dying.
Then I go explaining saying "You're really weird if you'd bother spending 50K every run trying

Here's the big one. You got a few people teamed up on a Croc/Koma/Jarba type enemy and then they all dip because they want to work on another before finishing the last one. Teamwork people,it's not hard.

Any kind of Ebon..........and player shops. Basically anyone who prices things ridiculously. Ebon is the worst for me though because as I'm looking through the shops it's like 5k, 7k, 8k, 20k, 3.99k....-_-.....when all those have an ad that says "CH34P3R TH4N NPC SHOP!!!1!!1!!!!".

- several people spamming the same lines in lobbies to make them appear larger, so you can't see anything to invite people to mission or talk with your friends
- mayalee prism, tornado dance and rising strike; if you knock something back, go after it. i hate having to stop (mid combo)and run after mobs just to have it knocked further.
- garment auras, people say they wear them for the look. trust me, it looks terible and you need to get your eyes checked (some people do actually look good, but only a small percentage). if you actually cared about the stat you would buy the unit from GRM.
- people giving each other shit in missions. there's no one way to do things, you shouldn't expect everyone to listen to you and do what you say just because you're annoying.
- over priced player shop. "no, i will not pay 10ox the npc price"

There's only one way to be the best in this game, and it's not by having a lot of badass 50% weapons or Sranks or being level capped or having tons of units or a gajillion meseta: it's about enjoying the game, playing with your friends, and not getting uptight about stupid shit.

"It's the sign of a small soul that in order to make yourself feel better you have to diminish others," it was once sad, and THAT is my pet peeve.

You can be a cheater that used a program to erase other people's hard work or create a weapon no one's ever seen, or made so many versions of it you can give them away like candy to newbs so they'll admire you. You can be a hardcore legit who looks down on anyone who dares to own a shop because of all the "haxeta that's still floating around, man." You can be an elitist who despises anyone but a newman fortetecher or a cast fortegunner because nothing else are good "DPS race/class combos." It's all a sign of the same thing: because you don't feel good about yourself, you have to make other people feel bad.

Help your buddies hunt their rare units and they'll help you hunt yours. Help out newbies by giving them a quick 100k and taking them through the HIVE and Moatoob and they'll help out newbies in turn. Put your sale items up for a reasonable price and when you go looking for items other people will have THEIR items priced at a buyable amount. It's all relative, and it's all having fun.

If the only way a person can have fun is to prevent other people from having fun, then fuck them. Seriously. Right in the ear. With a wrought iron cemetery fencing post. Only punishment that fits the crime.

I sorta agree with you on that, but for different emotes. Namely, ";o", ";D", ";P", "=P" and any variation thereof.

Some people use them as an all-purpose emote or when they're joking around (especially here where ";o" is concerned), but they typically imply this (http://redwing.hutman.net/~mreed/warriorshtm/jerk.htm) about the face-maker's attitude.

More so for me because most of the forums I've gone to, the people who are trolls/snarking jerks/etc. loved spamming ";o" or ";D" or ";P" or "=P" while cutting someone down who didn't deserve it.

I dunno why, but when someone asks a serious question and puts "lol" at the end of it, it's like they're mocking me or something. As well as seeing so many "LFG" messages on Neudaiz.

And yes, I realize that 90% of the people on the internet use chatspeak. I'm just bothered by it for some reason. If you're gonna ask me for an invite, or what universe I'm in, don't shorten "you" to "u". It's THREE LETTERS. Not hard to type, even on the onscreen keyboard.

Another pet peeve I have is emo people in the game. I've known of people to make suicide threats just for attention in the game. I told the person to pull the trigger and do the world a favor, knowing he wouldn't really do it, and found him partying with me on Parum five minutes later. The same person agreed on a Jao run, back in Firebreak, that I'd get the first Puyoment Aura we find, with him second in line. We found one, and as agreed, I got it, afterwords he ran off to his room and started calling me a "GREEDY JERK". I still party with him from time to time, but leave the instant he starts whining.

Thing is, PSO's terms work. Along with that, most people who play PSU, especially on this forum, played PSO. Think about it, how else would they know about the game? It's not like it's getting good reviews or anything like that.
And beyond that, caseal works well since the males are already called casts. If Sega's going to do it, we may as well. Though it's harder to do with the addition of advanced jobs, things like "fFcaseal" are still easier to do than "female android fF".

As for your second point, it's very hypocritical if somebody does that if they play the game. If PSO was that much better, it's still possible to play PSO if you don't mind cheating.
However, I wouldn't put this past them if they quit PSU. They saw what PSU was like, they saw that it wasn't like or as good as PSU (whichever was their case), and so they're disappointed. I see this everywhere PSU is mentioned, even here. I have to say that I didn't like the overall look of PSU as much as I like PSO's, though just the same I don't like PSO's overall look as much as the original series (Which I played after PSO, by the way). But PSU has its own merits, so I try to focus on those and try to forget that PSO was better in other things. Damn it, I miss numans.

And your third, agreed. Even as a hunter, I'm getting tired of starting up a PA, and finding out that my target teleported to the other side of the room.

Except that "CAST" and "CASEAL" are terms shared by both games, so you can't quite get away with beating him for that.

For example, the company that produces all parts used by CASTs in this game has two lines: SHELL-CAST and SHELL-CASEAL.

Except that "CAST" and "CASEAL" are terms shared by both games, so you can't quite get away with beating him for that.

For example, the company that produces all parts used by CASTs in this game has two lines: SHELL-CAST and SHELL-CASEAL.

Mine is an odd pet peeve and it just minor bugs me. Its grinded weapons or lack of grinded weapons on a char. Especially when I see someone weapon inventory on when their char has 3 luck. You can SAFELY WITH NO RISK OF BREAKING grind the weapon to +1. But no one every does that.

Here we go...I just got a new tiny list while trying to do makeovers today:

caseals can't change their lip color

cast sub colors are all too dark (I want gold, bright green, blood red and ice blue...now)

we can't have skyblue hair (so much for ice princesses and the like)

A lack of hair pipes(this has infuriated me since the beginning)

I can't change the color of my character's underwear.(seriously, I can go from while to mexican to black in the course of a day, chane my cornia color AND size and do the same to my pupils. change my hair from short to long and all different styles...but I can't change my underwear? fail...)

My biggest pet peeve comes from team play. When I'm a Forte or GunTecher and someone uses a knockback melee PA just at the same time my projectile hit is supposed to connect, causing me to miss horribly. That and guys who hit on every female character they see using lame pick up lines.

Try Cast FT's that only have rods with 4 attack techs on them, which means no bows, no resta, no buffs, etc...

Meh, I try to even it out when it comes to spells. I have a rod set for attack spells, a rod for heals and debuffs, and a rod purely for buffing. The other two slots use a Wand with a Card for normal use, and a bow incase I do Her Secret Mission.


Of course, that's only if I'm playing fT. I'm normally fG and fF....with a mix of GT sometimes =P
