http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/quote.gif = http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/quote.gif

I should ask that in site related http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

File size or in many cases to make them have transparency.

An HTML string can make them have transparency <_<

Yeah, but making it a transparent gif is a lot easier, also it requires no additional coding. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

It's also possible to make png files tranparent, but it's a relatively new format and some older computers can't display it properly.

i just wished MS wouldn't have fucked us over after 98 and took transparency out of MSpaint, I should probably see if i can find the program somewhere

I use Paint Shop Pro to add transparency. What annoyed me, though, was the fact that MS Gif animator didn't come pre-packed on my PC, I had to Google it and DL.

Think this avatar means different things for different people... for me it's looks like Shion.

Yet it could also be newman cuteness or maybe ...?

Well tell me what you think makes it spectacular.

I wouldn't really describe png as new. The reason why older computers are disinclined to display it, is because Microsoft has a general aversion toward supporting open source projects-- such as the PNG format. The fact is that PNG is one of the most well-designed image formats we have. It supports multiple compression methods (just about any, in fact-- like TIF, it's just a wrapper), and as far as I know, it is the only wide-spread image format that supports Alpha transparency; which differs from regular transparency in that, rather than having a single color devoted to being transparent, it has an entire color channel devoted to detailing the level of transparencies throughout the image.
