Hmm so it doesn't run much better than it does on a PS2?

From what my brother tells me about the PS3 with other games.... It doesnt improve graphics or the way the game runs (disk reading speed maybe). Maybe if you use the HD capability with it, you may get some better results in graphics. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I can't really say for myself, but I thought I might actually try to help out.

If you have an HDtv, it will be upscaled I think. That's about it. Don't expect polys out the wazoo. It's still running the same code.

Subject: Re: PSU load times on PS3 vs PS2?
Honestly, I have played on both systems and the differences are negligible at best. The PS3 may have a 1-2 second load/speed advantage at best, but I never really noticed anything earth-shattering between the two systems. The PS3 is going to play the game almost exactly the same as a PS2 would.

Lets just say this, whenever I see the posts boasting about how well the PS3 handles the game over a PS2 console, I roll my eyes a bit. It's really not that impressive or earth shattering.

Also, You do happen to get a wwe bit less lag on the PS3 then on PC or PS2!

Doesn't the PS3 offer a hard drive option? If so, try loading PSU onto that. I'm sure the framerates would go up due it to bypassing the DVD-ROM bottleneck...

..hopefully I can find out for myself soon. Yay for PS3 price drop! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

If you want it to look AND play better, get it on 360... Seriously... thats what I did.

No, it doesnt run any better at all.

The system you play the game on will NOT increase peformance or game look unless it was designed to take advantage of the new hardware.

Dont listen to anyone otherwise. The ONLY difference is MAYBE better resolution, but in all truth i wouldnt be suprised if it ran worse on PS3.

I play on both PS2/PS3/PC and ya it does not lag as much, does have somewhat better graphics, and overall...its better played on PS3 or 360 than PS2!!!

You mean load PC PSU onto my Ps3?

PSU runs faster for me on my PS3 than it did on my PS2... and I'm speaking from experience! Not this "i think" or "I bet". I DO!! But, it's just my opinion and the way I have it set up! Graphics arent any better or worse just more clear to me! PS3/360 are hands down the best way to play in my opinion unless you like sitting in front of a PC, which I hate!
So to answer your question IMO YES it does!

Um, no. PC is better than all the consoles in terms of slowdown and performance.

This is not only true for PSU, but for every single game out on the market now, and in the future.

Absolutely FALSE!!!!
If I had a Packard Bell PC from '94 I wouldnt even be able to play it! So to be all technical when making claims like that it has to depend on your PC and OS... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif lol

I would say that the only thing that the PS3 would do is make the game sharper for that is what the 360 does with its games.

Seeing as how the memory cards for the PS3 are actually made from the HDD, the framerate on PS3 is slightly higher than PS2. I went from one to the other and noticed the difference immediately; it's not huge, but it's enough.
