Which is best?

Depends really. I don't really see Solid / Power being too trusty for classes like Beast Fortefighter, where their ATA is already abysmal. Would be just great for a ranger class though.

I'm a Cast Fighgunner (80/10) and I use a Solid/Power S. Works great for me, but being a Cast, I don't miss the ATA much. probably not wise for a Beast Fortefighter/Fighgunner. >_>

Well, I'm curious on which job you would use these for? I would say that Solid Power S sounds more appealing to me. I personally would prefer to take a hit in ATA over using more PP on skills or bullets. But this is me, choose for yourself which one you would prefer. Or better yet, you can wait for Plains Overlord S2 and try to hunt for Cati / Power, which gives 120 ATP without a consequence.
But if you can't find Cati / Power, I pick Solid Power S. CASTs and Newmans would benefit the most out of Solid Power S due to their high ATA. But I think a Beast Fighgunner can also do alright with the Solid Power S, maybe Fortefighter too if you choose not to use axes.

Hard Power Charge
Highest ATP Bonus of all units that we know of, all you need is a few extra charges http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

My hpc has taught me how to manage my pp better. I actually use less charges now.

well said.due to cost and availability,I recently chose hard/power over solid, and needless to say,Im totally happy with the results.yeah, its gonna burn through your weapons in a hurry, but the damage is devastating.and, there's no accuracy penalty.so,like reginaldo said,it teaches you to manage your PP better, and it also can be solved very easily by carrying extra weapons.
hard/power-highly reccomended-though i dont have first hadn experience with a solid/power to really point out whats going on there, but I have the hard/power and it's great.give it a chance, carry charges and extra weapons.you will fall in love.
for a cast fortegunner or guntecher though,it may be worth it to go solid/power because those classes get just a very silly amount of ATA stat to begin with.they can afford the -80 accuracy without a problem,I'd expect, and they dont have to worry about using extra PP. that's my 2 cents, but the hard/power seems to be a pretty good bet regardless of how you slice it.just adapt to it is all you gotta do.
HPC looks great for cast gunner types
for everyone else, it's something i'd equip to take down bigs, trouble spots, or bosses with a stack of charges in tow.
sign my beast up for cati power *thumbs up*

People seem to underestimate the Evasive power of the higher level enemies. I HATE seeing 0's when I'm fighting.
I'd take the HPC or Cati over SPS.

that too.during firebreak,I was running a B mission with a beast FF who just got his solid power S and hes like yeah man Im not missing at all really and I said well these monsters are level 45...wait till you get to face level 75+ you may run into some problems...
he then flipped out on me

I use solid power S on my level 70 Beast FF always doing s2 missions and I barely miss, If a force is around or I use some Zodiaride I have no problems at all hitting nearly all the time.. I find that most people that complain about beasts ata have never even used one :/

I don't find SPS to be a problem on S2s with a cast gunner.. HPC IS a problem for me, considering I mainly use xbows, and it's especially a problem for Zagenga. Other problem guns would be grenades and the like.. but obviously if you're mainly using shotguns or something, there's a lot less of a problem, considering how low drain they are.

15 extra Atp means not much extra atp....50% more pp used will however show...prefers SPS

Anything that makes PP cost higher = insta-fail.
SPS will make you miss notably more on hunters, so that fails here, too.

agreed.
i still keep my HPC around for bosses every now and again, but i think the Mega/Power is more efficient vs the PP cost with an HPC. (and i got my HPC by trading an SPS)
gimme that Cati/Power!
