It's the rod. It's like how Final Fantasy has Ultima Weapon or some variation of it in all of their games. It's just the iconic uber weapon of Phantasy Star...plus it looks way cooler than the Yohmei 12* Rod and is much stronger/has more PP.

EDIT: Stats for comparison...

Okarod
1440 PP
767 TP

Psycho Wand
1872 PP

Erm, no it's not. It was introduced in PSIV as a rod you never used except as an item, and remade in PSO with a low drop rate, but that's about it.
The PS series never really had an iconic weapon, besides maybe the laconium weapons (They were in every game, as either the highest grade or the highest buyable grade of weapons). Each game had similar low grade weapons, but always finished up with a different weapon. Each weapon that made you go "Oh my god" in a previous game was not seen in another (Though you could argue conversibly about Alis' Laconium sword, which according to some hypotheses was made into the Nei sword, and was then known as the Elsydeon).
Mind, if you played PSIV, it was treated as a big deal, and it was probably one of the more sought after force rares in PSO. It's more of A rod than THE rod. It just happens to be the only A rod

Also, the Ultima weapon was introduced in FFVI. Excalibur or Masamune is probably what you're thinking of, those were the two best swords in FFI.

Actually, the Psycho Wand was equipable in PSIV, and it made its original appearance in the original Phantasy Star. Granted, the English language version just called it, "WAND" but what are you going to do with just four letters, y'know? The Japanese version gave the full name. Now, on the other hand, it wasn't a major plot point until Phantasy Star IV.

I'm not saying anyone's a hacker blah blah, but that statement is just blatantly naive or ignorant. I'm sure 360 has been hacked, just not made publicly known. Even if M$ would banzor you within minutes, I'm sure there are ways to bypass them <_<

To hack a game in 360 you need to modify the console, and the instant you connect a modified console to xbox live it is instantaneously banned, so a game, in the actuality, cannot be hacked.

But in the past it was possible, you can find on youtube some GOW videos of people running incredibly fast and killing people with a single mechgun shot. But if PSU had illegal weapons in 360 (I doubt it since any hacked cared or was good enough) Sega would just delete them like in the PC version

Soukosa
Jul 15, 2007, 06:32 AM
Why do topics like this always come up with hacked item console flame wars? -_- You can't hack items on any version now and it's been that way for a long time. You also couldn't hack boards into a form that you could put into a shop to show off since the server would see that it doesn't exist and erase it.

Also, if you want to really get in deep with hacking (or rather cracking as the correct term is), the 360 is crackable, nothing is crack proof. Period. This doesn't apply to just the 360 but anything that will ever come into existence. Given enough time, patience, and interest, anything can be cracked.
