I'm playing that right now.

By the end of the 2nd level I have the big-ass purple laser that devours everything.

yeah, a full purple beam with full homing missiles is awesome. I wish they would make another one. I've played this one so much that I have to do it on heard for any real challenge, and then it's still iffy. Your score is huge when you finally beat it on hard.

I'm being a total wuss and playing on Easy. What's the difference in difficulties, besides higher scores? Do enemies take more hits before exploding?

Sord

yes, and a lot more of then

the meteor level on hard is a pain in the ass. If you want to make that level even harder you can use the blue beam, if you don't use some that spreads you usually get nailed on that level. I've done it with blue beam just for the challenge of it, but it took me awhile : / I usually play this game whenever not much is going on online, and I've know about it for a long time. Plus you can actually save your game so long as you don't delete you cookies, awesome feature.

I took full advantage of the save feature. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Cool game Sord. I just finished it right now. That final boss feels like he takes 30 minutes to beat. I noticed once you go to space the game gets Tahou: Perfect Cherry Blossom hard.

I'm a big fan of the genre, it's my top old school style. I've know about this one for a long time now (years i think, at least a year)

Shoot em up genres are one of my favorites, that and the fighting genre.

Wait, you've known about this and didn't tell us? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

finally found this game, been searching for it for about 15 mins. I played this back around 04 as well. Most everywhere I went this was taken down, as the guy quit working on it a long time ago. I was hoping someone would have one up, and whadya know! weeeheeeheee

the controls are iffy, but once you get it down survival mode is great. play test version. also, it may not give you a loading picture right away, give it a while, it can take a bit to load.

I don't know what was happening but the mecha and everything made it hawt. Are you a mecha fan also?

Sord

take the time to learn it, it gets fun. As for being a mecha guy, not so much an anime. But this is largely due to the fact I have yet to see one I really like all the way through, nothing to do with mechs themselves. Ronin's praising of it is probably gonna lead to me watching it at some point. If you just mean in video games, then yest I am. Sometime I think they overcomplicate all the controls in some of them though. I'm an old school Armored Core guy btw.

I'm in to both of them, more of the video games though. Have you ever played Virtural-On?

Let me just say again, Seventh Sky=awesome. I think I downloaded it.
