Alright, time to remake another really old thread I have somewhere in the FKL. The point of it is pretty much self-explanatory. Have you guys ever had any moments in gaming where you look at your surroundings and just KNOW that you're going to die/lose/etc.?

Actually, in some games, what makes me say "I'm so dead" is when everything is silent, and then a sound effect / instrumental accent plays for a split second, and goes back to silence. This is a very popular concept to Tomb Raider: Last Revelation

It's never happened to me, but if you're playing Supreme Commander and a Galactic Colossus gets into your base, you're pretty much fucked.

Also, the explosion at the end of F.E.A.R...or basically the whole game if you're looking at it the way the soldier would have been. From his point of view, I'm sure every room was a "oh shit I'm going to die" moment.

To explain, that big guy is a infected Bil de Vear. It punches you really hard and it knocks your lights out. After it finished me off but took his time with it. My most recent "oh shit" moments have been from PSU and usually pertain to jarba's and their megid(of course). Usually I'm pretty careful but somehow I end up in one of those situations when I'm looking at a megid flying in my general direction and it's like everything slows down and something in the back of my head is telling me I'm not going to be alive in the next few seconds. It's just odd to me that I can predict it every time. Whenever it happens I'm just looking at it and I can feel that I have this sort of glazed look on my face and I know it's going to hit me and that it's going to kill me.
