Well, as some of you know I'm in IT, specifically networking. Cisco, the company who's curriculum I've been learning under, has recently released a new one a few weeks back for their new CCNA certification. I have already complete CCNA 1 curriculum. I plan to shoot through CCNA 2 in the next two weeks by going to my internship from 9am-3pm, mon-fri. There is a chance I could be the first one to recieve the certification in the nation, if not the world. This is due to the fact that our academy is one of the only ones currently teaching the just released curriculum. We'd be the first to complete it, except they've had pilot testers. However, we will be the first actual academy to actually do so.

We have several higher ups in Cisco watching us, mostly project managers. They've let it be known if that there will be some publicity in obtaining the cetification. Especially the first person to complete the new curriculum and get the certification (as opposed to a senior worker who just takes it and passes.) I have no idea if I'll be the one, but I'm going for it. My academy has already won an award from last year for Rigor in the academy. Which is another part of the reason Cisco's eye is on us now.

So while I'm gone 6 hours every weekday, I expect you guys to be posting it up in here not having a life whilst I go about having mine. That way, I can look forward to coming home and have some entertainment to browse through.

That is all FKL

you mean like now? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

anyways, today was a good day, got a 90.5% percent on the CCNA 1 final, had a video shot of me putting together a computer (twice actually) that's going to be edited into a recruit video for out academy and put on our schools website. Another intern was filmed as well, but he just terminated a cable.

Already finished chapter 1 of CCNA 2. I have to go back to some labs I had to skip in CCNA 1 though to learn how to use a program called packet tracer. Won't take long though. Also, the power went out twice for short periods of time, it be lookin like it's gonna sotrm up here. Two of my co-interns had it go out right in the middle of the test, poor guys. (all our tests are online) Didn't affect me though, I'd already finished all the tests http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

given my reading speed, I should have CCNA 2 finished in terms of reading within 2-3 days if I just do it at the school (I read very fast and retain info. a co-intern desribes it as "insane.") Which means the rest of the times will be for labs and review for the certifications.

so yeah, good news all around for me.

Oh yeah, my dad has a friend who works for IT. If anything goes wrong and you don't know how to fix it, I could always ask.
