View Full Version : Anybody here use RPGMaker 2003?

Because I would like a simple way to make a CBS that actually WORKS . And if anybody needs tutorials, I can help.

use it, yes. not enough to know what CBS is though, other than a TV network

I don't use it enough to bother reading full guides. I usually just jump around the net to find what I want, or figure it out through trial and error. Also, I'm pretty sure I had a help file the first time I got it, haven't checked to see if I have it this time.

Well that is what I mean. I have one on chests, one on day and night (untested), one on Blue Magic (untested) and one on blinking.

still, what is CBS?

I mostly used the other common RPG maker, the one with some long p word and "knights" or something. Still didn't do much though. Created a mountain peak in space with a cave home at the top. The caves iteself was a two story house with some basic decorations and a bed with a rest event on it. That was several months ago and I remember very little of how I did things.

Custom Battle System.
You mean Postality Knights? RPGMaker XP. I prefer 2003 because it is simpler. I do have XP though.

ah, as for custom battle system all I know is that requires scripting, and I don't have a friggen clue how to even begin setting that up. I can secure your router till it's a brick wall, but I don't have much knowledge at all with scripts.

Anywho, I am still writing up the story for my game. I plan on testing the Day/night guide I have so I can see if that'd work in my game.

I like writing stories, but they rarely get finished unless they are short or a collection of shorts. The only big one I have started great, but I didn't like the middle and some of the end. It's a PSOW fanfic though, got stickied for awhile too. Kinda disheartening though that I only got one main replier after awhile. It was also set up to have a sequel, but I never got around to it.

I wonder how you would do with my neverwinter nights construction set. Set up is so much simpler then the classic RPG makers. Hell, I can even put my own voice in there for characters, I've done it. I also have Morrowind's construction set, but I've never used it. There were some greats mods made for the game back in the day though, now the majority of them are down. Usually all you can find now are Better Bodies packs, some of the clothes, and Better Texture packs.

Where do you get RPGMaker 2003? Is it for the PS2, I think my friend has one.
