I would say Sta is from your character and END is from the overall such as Armor, Units, and character together.

Ya basically it's something to throw us off as to why they aren't named the same.

I thought STA was resistance to status effects and END was for critical hits. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

You only see the acronym STA on your character status.

You see END when you look at your armor/unit.

If you notice, those numbers always match up, thus being the same thing.

I forget where I read it but I think STA was how often if a status effect will actually hit you in the first place and END is how long a negative status effect will last on you.

STA and End. are intended to be different.

The way it works is that STA is based solely on your race and class modifier. Your End. is STA plus any equipment you have on. So your STA should never change based on your equipment. It may though, because ST wouldn't know a programming manual if you hit them in the head with it. ATA and Acc. are the same way. ATA is based off of race character level and class modifier. Acc. is your ATA plus the Acc. of the weapon you have equipped and any other equipment.

I lol'd after reading these posts. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

But why can't Sega just put END where STA is or vice versa? Get rid of one of them to stop confusing people!

End. is the bonus an item will give to your STA. Simple as.

I kind of like being able to see my base stats. It would be awesome if you could see your stats before you class modifier was applied. I'm just a numbers person though.

ok heres what I can understand from all this.
the ones on the left are acronyms,
on the right are abbreviations.

ATP = attack power - Att. = attack
ATA = attack accuracy - Acc. = accuracy
TP = technic potency - Tech. = technic
DFP = defensive power - Def. = defense
EVP = evasion power - Eva. = evasion
MST = mental strength - Ment. = mental
STA = status abnormality resistance - End. = endurance

So there you go. Straight from the book that comes with PSU. STA does NOT stand for stamina as so many would like to believe. It stands for status abnormality resistance. As so many others are right to believe. And, as every1 has already said, there is a difference in that one is the base stat, the other is after equipment is added.
