Can anybody from the JP servers tell me what it needs to be synthed? I heard it dropped in Famitsu, and you have the Hive S2 now. Just want to get the Mats now while they are cheaper.

The difficult ingredient to acquire is the Gaozoran Rod material. You may want to wait until the event to gather it. One of the reward missions in that event features a large number of Gaozoran that drop rares at greatly reduced rates.

So, you mean to tell me, that I have to get seven rods from an actual Gaozoran to make one rod? I might as well steal one from it.

Whoever decided on the synth materials for these items needs to be fucking railgunned.

With all of the other kubaras it only takes 1-2 of the special items. WTF is with 7. Just how good is that damn thing? If it isn't better than having a full pallette of other rods, why even bother? sheesh!

If I remember correctly, isn't the Gaozoran Rod the second most powerful rod in the game, right behind the Psycho Wand (and better than even the 12* Yohmei rod)?
That would explain why it's so difficult to get the ingredients.

Second most powerful hmmm
Sure if you only count kubaras.
It's equal TP-wise to the 11* kazarod, barely. Eclipsed by the 12* Okarod, and totally owned by Okarod + Okasenba combo. Only 30 more tp then a Halarod, same TP as a Hourod +10.
1642 base PP or some crap, 200-300 more then the yohmei rods, but it regens at 3, so the PP advantage is only kinda good for support or damu rods.
68% pure synth btw.
It's also ass ugly.
Maybe even uglier.

I wonder how good it'll be when it can be "grinded"...
Kubaras have a history of being phenominal...If you are in to gambling.

Oh, snap, you're right. I thought it had more TP than an Okarod.
Oh well.

I don't think it's the core of the system so much as the details. For instance, if the synth rates on S-rank weapons and armour were just high enough that a pure PM had a 100% chance to synth them, that alone would be quite redeeming.
While it isn't a 100% success rate for S-ranks on a pure PM, I do hear that in AoI, you won't lose a use of your synth board when a synth fails. Might not save the expensive mats, but at least you keep the board until you succeed the item it makes. That alone tempts me to hold onto any S-rank boards I find between now and AoI, and synth them when I know I won't lose them on a failed synth.

You heard from where? Some one else that thought they heard it some where but didn't? Yeah, it's a rumor til the official source is given.
