Maintenance Time

So in 30 minutes its maintenance but I logged off so yeah this was week 1 of me playing PSU and here are some pointers so far.

-Its fun and its definitely different from PSO BB, the drops I ain't complaining yet but then again the J-Sword was hard as hell to get so I'm used to scarce drops. The pace is definitely faster than PSO BB

-The community is eh...it has its share of assholes not as bad as WoW but sometimes is like visiting the Barrens chat all over again, but...and I am sorry to say this...but the best community by far is that secret server for PSO BB which I cannot speak of here. The best economy however, and I hate to say it, is WoW because in here items go for ridiculous prices and in WoW at least the Auction House is controlled.

-What's up with high leveled people and passing by other people's games stealing their kills? That's probably the most messed up thing I've seen in an online game...I cannot believe you are wasting 10 dollars just to go to the ugliest place in the game and chat your life away...I mean damn at least you guys should've chosen the springs at least or something....but yeah passer byers are getting way out of hand so once I got a group in I password my party and move on to Crimson Beast.

-Her Secret Mission, yes there are nice people that help low leveled people but others is like...its like you're forcing them to do it...the last run I did one of the dudes said that it was sad we couldn't get all 20 samples...I mean damn at least we got an A rank I'm happy with it I mean its just a game man...he left afterwards XD

So yeah so far its been fun I can't wait till my real life friends get the game too it'll heat things up at least people you trust and whatnot.

I've found PSU to be slower than PSO, actually. PAs tend to do that. It still takes countless Daggas' to kill mobs. And you can't really dodge nearly as well, either.

I always have the decency to ask if it's alright for me to pass through. However, I try to avoid going through parties that are obviously levelup parties, since it's often easier just making my own and using my PMs.

That's been a common thing since the game started. I Find it rude only when it's obviously low levels playing a mission for exp/meseta. Most higher levels that play on C leave the game open so people can just pass by, and that's fine.

PSU has alot of annoying thick headed ppl, dont let those ppl fool you to think that everyone is like that tho, what I do hate however, is that when im on my alt,and high lvls think their better than me and theyre actually lower than my main,especially in the her secret mission area. If you dont know the map then hey i could take one game out of my life to teach you which way,what buttons, where to go etc. so when im not around u can lvl up on ur own. As for the hitchhiking thing, i usually put no high lvls as a comment when i dont want a lvl 80 to come in and rush, and ppl usually respect that. If they don't and they join,I make sure they know the rules(were doing this to lvl etc.), if they dont listen, i boot them,simple as that. PSU is faster than PSO BB but there arent so many drop possiblities and easter eggs, tho i do admit theyre working their way up. PSU is fun, you just need to find ways around things and be patient you know.

hitchhiking is gonna happen. Password your game and then leave in the party message the password. This discourages people who simply want a taxi, as theyll skip over your entry, but actual low level characters have a higher chance of seeing it and dropping in.

Drop rates are a bytch, but youll find that out soon enough.

Once you get past some of the more annoying quirks to this game, its actually very enjoyable. Its a shame ill be leaving tomorrow or the day after, but really it is a good time.

360 iirc will get any changes PS2/PC gets. but due to MS testing standards and stuff it takes a bit longer. give it a week or two...it'll come.

Eh, I hitchhike on occasion - but since my two main characters are WT and GT, I tend to just sit back and heal/buff so that they can move quicker. Once in a while I might take a pot-shot at an enemy. Tho most of the time I solo through an area on C rank, if for nothing else than to get my PM's BT raised.

The people who hitchhike on a low level character's mission are ... meh. I avoid hitchhiking unless the run is specifically titled as such--and when I'm doing my own run to some place or another, I put "Taxi to (place)" and leave the game open.

I hitchike plenty...I just always make note of who's in the party. Joining a C game with a Lv 10 in it is a no no. But, you can be relatively sure the Lv 74 in Mad Creatures C isn't there for the exp.

What I don't like is when high levels do C to get to the next lobby and then lock it. If I'm passing through, I don't mind if people join it makes the run easier and less annoying than each individual person have to take the time to go through it. I title my parties *free ride to (lobby)*. And if a low level joins, I let them tag until we get there.

I run B1 of Desert Terror continuously. There's a map which starts in a desert base with a swarm of five rats, followed by two pigs. From there on, there are only pigs and rats. Perfect for Skela, not so much for anything else.

I usually start taxi groups and don't just barge into a party of low levels.
Right now, I'm sometimes taxing to Eastern Peril A so I can hunt the me/quick unit as Chachamaru. But if you see me or I see you I'll party up with you! I have a low level force that I can use!
