Questions about Extra Mode

So I've started playing around with extra mode but I have a few questions.

Am I not able to purchase PAs for the "newer" weapons such as the Axe, Double Saber, Laser Cannon, etc.?

Am I not able to purchase these weapons?

As you progress in Story Mode, more missions and items are unlocked in Extra Mode. There should be one skill available for purchase for melee weapons at any disc counter by the time you're able to buy them, I believe. In addition, attain Rank S in a mission trial and your NPC companions have a chance of imparting a photon art which may not be available in stores ever to you.

Axes, launchers, and cards are Network Mode exclusive, however, and won't appear in either offline mode.
