when Yunfa posted a pic of their T.V others started to post pictures of theirs as well. It got me thinking how's everyone else set up like?

So PSOW Whats Your PSU set up like?
how Big or small is your TV or Monitor?
Is everything in one room or all separated?

My Set up?
PSU on PS2 on a 12" tv (altho i dont sure if it IS a 12" could be smaller) Its in my closet 6 ft off the floor. The shelf it is on could be used as a bed under it is the hanger racks and whatnot My VCR and Cable box are too the left in the picture (where the orange glow is coming from) Under it is my computer *so yes im always looking upward towards the TV* My dresser is to my left and my PS2 sits on top of it. I got a 100Ft ethernet cord to the Router sometimes ill move to my bed which is right behind my computer chair. I have played PSO and PSU on this TV since 2004

I need to get a digital camera since my old one is broken, but I basically play PSU in my living room on a leather sofa, with an Xbox 360 connected to a 40" Samsung LCD 720p HDTV with audio from a 2.1 THX certified Klipsch sound system.

I like to have my choices, I'm looking into getting a pair of ATI HD crossfire cards, one being an all in wonder card, so I can watch tv on my monitor, but until then, I dual output from my current video card to my 17" monitor and 32" LCD HDTV, if I feel like going hi res I play on my monitor, otherwise I go full screen on my HDTV(its only 720p, but hell it was only $600) I have both positioned so I can easily see them from my futon, I really hope AOI introduces HD and widescreen resolutions *crosses fingers* Sound wise I have a creative labs 7.1 surround sound card and speaker setup, eventually when I finally move my furniture around I'll set them up properly instead of having them all sitting in a pile http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif I'd show pics but I smashed in the screen on my cellphone...

Decent enough for now.

Later I'll be rockin PSU on my High clarity LCD monitor. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
That's a 15" right up in my face more or less, meaning it's about the same size, perspectively, as my T.V.

let's see... i have a Dell 15" LCD flatscreen monitor that O play PSU on that I like, but if I want to I can clon my screen onto either of my 2 TV just behind it, one being a VIORE 20" LCD EDTV (450p) sitting on a RCA 5.1 surround sound stereo / 5disc DVD player combo and that is to the left of a 24" RCA SDTV... I also can play it from my PS2 or PC on all three at once or both separately...AND could play the 360 demo 2/3 http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

and if there was a program that did it I would also have the stats show up on my logitech g15 keyboard LCD display...unfortunately there isn't one...

It's a 21" CRT monitor that I got for free a long time ago that I now have hooked up to my PC as a secondary monitor. It's perfect for games that you can play with a gamepad. Now I can sit in my sofa instead of the computer chair. With the PS2-pad it's just like playing the PS2-version but with way better image quality, higher resolution, twice the fps and half the loading times. It's also my Dreamcast monitor, that keyboard up on the monitor has been used a lot in PSO.

Sinue_v2
Jul 22, 2007, 03:21 AM
I have everything integrated. PS2, HD CableBox, Xbox, NGC, all connected to my nVision N6 VGA adapter. The Dreamcast, X360, and the PC are both connected seperately with VGA cables via a switch to a 20" CRT monitor. Sound goes through a 5.1 100w Altec Lansing PC surround sound system. Once I get a HDTV w/ VGA input, I plan to move the whole setup in the livingroom. But for now, only the Genesis, Master System, and N64 is out there on my crappy 28" CRT SDTV.

I've resisted the leap from CRT to LCD because I still believe CRT to be the better technology - however, if I can find one of these for an affordable price, I might just have to change my mind a bit.

Picture is crappy, 'cause I only have my phone to take pictures with http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif It looks way too bright on this picture, too. I can assure that it's not THAT bright http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Anyway, it's a BenQ 17" flatscreen, along with a wired XBox 360 pad hooked up to the PC because PSU's keyboard controls suck.

I run PSU on windowed mode so I can multitask it with MSN and various other programs, before anyone asks why it isn't fullscreen http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Same pic as the one in the last thread of course. Was taken with a webcam so the picture quality sucks. I'll see if I can get a better one next time.

Anyway, in case you can't tell, this is a Sony Wega 42" LCD rear projection tv capable of displaying 1080i. I don't have any kick ass sound system to back it up though but I can cope with that. <_<

Also, I would've taken the pic further away but my room's kinda small and my webcam cord connected to my PC could only stretch so far anyway. Ghetto photography ftw. xD

My setup:

SONY WEGA 29" flatscreen, some three feet off the floor. the 360 is connected to it with the component (R,G,B L,R cable, while the original Xbox, the Wii and my Pioneer DVD player all share the usual (Video, L,R) jacks. The setup is at the end of the living room, with enough room and couches for four players, though it's a bit cramped for four Wii players. No surround sound system to speak of, I might get one by christmas.

My girlfriend and I just bought a 30" Samsung Slimfit CRT about a month ago. It displays up to 1080i. At about half the price of an LCD or Plasma of equal size and better picture quality I have no idea why CRTs are getting harder and harder to find. I guess people just like the idea of a flat panel. The only drawback is that it weights about 125 lbs., but its easy for 2 people to lift and it's not like I move it around every week. Our old television was only 19" and we haven't decided on a new TV stand yet so it looks kind of funny on the old one, lol:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/digita1alchemy/psu1.jpg

But anyway, the picture quality is amazing. I originally got my 360 just to play PSU, but now that I have an HDTV my poor Wii just doesn't get as much play time as it used to (that will most definately change starting in August).

Here's my set up. I've had this TV since about 1992 but it still runs well, and the picture quality is decent, though nowhere close to an HD display. The speakers kind of suck but I have a cheap little 5 speaker stereo system hooked up to it so I get decent sound.

Bose speakers give you Walmart performance for Rodeo Drive prices. If you've got that much cash to blow on a surround system, try listening to one from Harmon-Kardan, Klipsch, Infinity, or JBL. If after that you still think Bose speakers are the greatest, then congratulations on your setup.

Yeah, unfortunately, my camera doesn't take good shots of TVs.

Looks blurry and the color isn't the same as what you see in-person, etc.

I don't know if anybody's camera does, really.
