I need everyone to post before/after stat changes from your current level of shifta/deband. All levels wanted from 1-30. Just post those if you can it would be much appreciated.

(This is to make the damage calculator have further options)

Took me long enough... X_x
Shifta level 12 turned 444 ATP into 551.
Deband level 23 turned 256 DFP into 354.

silly cuban, we also need deband stats

BrokenHope

Shifta 19 1040(782)

Deband 20 567(421)

Base stats in brackets.

As far as i know shifta/deband raise your stats by a percentage of your ATP and DEF so people with different stats will end up with different bonus's with the same level techs.

let's list your dfp and atp too so we can figure out the %

Done, misread the first post and forgot to include them.

Let's see if it's a linear function...

ATP 1034 (1034)

Level 20 Shifta
ATP 1390 (+ 34.43%)

Level 24 Shifta
ATP 1443 (+ 39.56%)

Level 26 Shifta
ATP 1471 (+ 42.26%)

Level 27 Shifta
ATP 1484 (+ 43.52%)

Level 29 Shifta
ATP 1511 (+ 46.13%)

DFP 634 (347)

Level 19 Deband
DFP 845 (+ 33.28%)

Level 27 Deband
DFP 911 (+ 43.69%)

Level 29 Deband
DFP 928 (+ 46.37%)

Level 30 Deband
DFP 936 (+ 47.63%)

Well, I'm stumped...

My FOmar without mag (kinda letting a friend borrow it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif), 440 ATP, 228 DFP:

Shifta 29: 642
Shifta 30: 648

Deband 26: 410
Deband 27: 414
Deband 28: 417
Deband 29: 421
Deband 30: 425

Interesting...

What you really need is a nice round number (the higher the ability the more accurrate the rate) and then someone to cast the spells on them (level 3 and up). Say 500 or 1000 base ATP and 250 or 500 base DFP. You'll need both sets for true accurracy to see if they come out roughly the same.

Another question to bring up is whether or not the increases are static or varied based upon the MST of the caster. In the old versions they were static, but it's not improbable with the modified system in E1&2 that MST now has an effect.

nope ep1 & 2 shifta and deband isn't mst dependant. it's set per level

what you need is 4 wizard techniques,4 god techniques and a 4 slot frame. then you need a few forces of differing levels, one with level 1 shifta and deband, one with level 13, and a force with level 18 s/d or higher. i am willing to let my god tech be used for this study.

i am assuming that god techniques stack like wizard techs, but i am unsure as i only have 1.

Harder will be calculate zalure

You just do it in battle mode to calculate zalure/jellen. If you have time to calculate any of these I'd really appreciate that as well.

Thanks =)

according to the pso v1 guide I bought a long time ago:

shifta and deband's power: 10+1%/Level of spell

That's just a little bit off, WC. When I tried to calculate it like that, the result was always ~10 away from the real deal. :/

ATP 416
DFP 222

Shifta 14 - ATP 463
Deband 22 - DFP 304

Ok... regressions no work. It actually DOES appear to be a linear function of which the accuracy on the decimal is slightly changing...

Yeah, god techs stack, I had a force with 2 god techs and 2 god minds http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

No.

Alright people, here's a way you could figure this out:

Get a test character, say, FOmar or FOmarl or something, and raise them to a level where they have 100 ATP base or 100 ATP with a weapon. Have them learn level 1 Shifta and cast it, then record the amount of ATP they now have. Then, have them learn level 2 Shifta and record that number (Not enough MST? Go find a Mind unit or MAG). Starting at level 3, Shifta snd Deband can effect allies, so there is no need for the test subject to learn any higher levels, so you can have somebody else do it.

You could also try doing this wih 1000 ATP base and get more accurate results, but I don't know if anyone would be willing to level up, use units, MAGs, Materials, etc. to get 1000 ATP and still have only level 1 Shifta.

Same thing can be done with Deband and DFP.

Dunno if I missed something, or i'm not sure if you guys are aware of this: Depending on the difficulty, your deband/shifta become more effective. Same goes for the ammount of TP you steal from enemies with weapons, perhaps it's to make up for the level of difficulty. Taken that into effect, perhaps people oughta not mistaken a level 15 shifta on very hard, with a level 13 shifta on ultimate.

I have never heard this before, the ammount of TP you steal from enemies in higher difficulties would of course be higher since for every difficulty they have MORE TP and these weapons steal a %.

Khali-rei
01-20-2003, 10:03 AM
of course, but what you don't know is that the % they steal is YOURS, not THEIRS.

Khali-rei

before you say anything, let's just say YOU DO STEAL TP from them. Does that mean every enemy, including bosses have the same TP? .... I mean.. I do steal +67 from each hit on EVERY enemy.... even the vol opt. I didn't know machines had TP.

speaking about stealing...
ive noticed that stealing exp is abit glitched.. my lord's blades steals 10% exp but yet i get barely anything..

example: i attacka 40 exp monster....
when i steal exp from it... i only get like... 2 exp per hit? -_-;;
