according to sounomi's stat calculator

lvl 100/10 female beast FF:

HP 2823
ATP 1003
ATA 268
TP 173
DFP 242
EVP 153
MST 69
STA 12

according to the markers...most people in the grooup are class lvl 20...so with higher stat mods and 20 character levels more...that seems to be within reasonable parameters...but Pillan may be right that the stat differences betwen that and a FG are going to be relatively minor on the grand scale.

200 atp translates into some pretty hefty damage over time, and I've always been a bit skeptic about ATA in regards to melee.. :/

fFs will continue to be overshadowed by other melee classes using superior ranged weapons/traps.

Only a change in the way DFP is treated, or access to more ranged damage, or HUGE atp gains will alter this.

And by huge I mean 500+ atp. over the next nearest class. Even that is only 100 hp in damage/hit.

It's real. I know who that person is too; got to class 20 first farming De Rolei, then went on to get to lv120 in the Flowing Water Shrine, in beta of course. That said, it's still not certain that those will be the final stats, they may go up or down in the final version. Oh, and getting to class 20 is a feat itself, even though they boosted all the exp totals in beta by like, 5x, it still took forever to level classes after 10.

On a more humorous note, I'd be more afraid of the protranser with the gekitsunata. those things have 2x the range of a normal spear, and paired with ex-traps, you can play an unbelievable zoning game, having the range and everything in EX trap range flinch every second..
