I just installed and bought a subscribtion, but the server seems to be down (No.051)...Tried to find any info on the official homepage, but I didn't find anything, so I'm asking here instead. Is the server down?

Last I checked, servers were up.

What's the message that comes with Error message 51?

"Could not connect to server.
The server may be undergoing maintenance.

Please check the maintenance status at the Phantasy Star Universe official website."

Agh. Um. I can't really help there. Might be unscheduled maintenance.

Checked the official forums?

Damnit.

Well, we're having a problem on the 360 servers as well, but we don't know what it is.

I hope it clears up soon for you, I'm surprised some of the PC users haven't jumped in here to try and help. They're a tight-knit community. Like a big family.

It's doesn't sound like you need to reinstall, it's more likely that you have a connection problem, so check that first. If that doesn't work then reinstall and check the trouble shooting on the official site.

It's definitely a connection problem, it's happened to me before. It's not the game servers at all.

Often it is because of some anti-virus program.
Which it rejects for some reason.
Because i always get the error when i have one on.

If you have Nod or the like, you have to temporarly uninstall it while you play PSU.
Kinda annoying but what can one do. :S

darkante, well I had nod. I thought Nod was the problem, so I tried to shut it down, but it didn't work. Guess I should've tried un-installing it, but well...at least my computer runs alot faster now. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

You can also try adding PSU through NOD's IMON.
Add it into the exclusion list by going through Setup>Miscellaneous> Exclusions.

Ok, gonna try that after I've installed Nod.

Btw, I just played the first missions and I noticed that the game lags when inside a mission. It doesn't lag in the lobby or anything, but when I play a mission, it does. Is it supposed to be that way?
